Not the best hotel if traveling with little kids. It was so loud at all hours. Seems like no quiet hours were enforced. Doors slamming, could hear people stomping around above us, banquet room had parties in the evening etc. definitely the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in (and we travel a lot!!)

Room Tip: Not the first floor - horribly noisy

The staff is great. The property and room was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast is the standard hotel type food, but the staff works hard to keep it fresh and hot. The location is convenient. The pool and hot tub looked clean but I didn't use it. The exercise room has newer equipment. There is a washer and dryer on the second floor as well. I booked this hotel through hotwire at a deep discount. Some people commented about the location. There is some construction near the interstate, but there is another interchange nearby.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor was quiet.

Stayed here before catching a flight out of Omaha (hotel is only about 15 minutes max. from the airport).
Everything was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was much more than the usual cold rolls and apples - hot cooked food.
Check-out was not until noon, which was a plus.
Hotel is right across the street from the Horseshoe Casino and down the street from a couple of other restaurants.
I would definately recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I had a room at the back side of the hotel (towards the casino) and did not notice any noise.

We stayed for 3 nights & never had any complaints! Excellent service & wonderful, friendly staff. The free breakfast was great. Many things to choose from, hot eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy. Was a fair sized room too for everyone to sit & enjoy breakfast. Even had tasty cookies during the day. They were fantastic! Room was comfy & large. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on 1st floor & had no complaints. Quiet room & spacious.

Very pleasant service at this Country Inn, including a shuttle bus driver who seemed positively disappointed that he couldn't take me anywhere. Facilities comfortable, clean, what you would expect from one of the more upscale motel chains. But there's an extra, which I gather some chains are now featuring: in addition to free breakfast, there's the free "manager's special" from 5 to 7 p.m. in the same area off the lobby, with free beer, free wine, free munchies. (It's not quite free dinner, but some people might be able to manage with it.)

The surprising thing about this motel is its location. It's not precisely in Council Bliuffs, which is what I originally was looking for when I hunted up somewhere to stay in this area. It's in nearby Carter Lake, Iowa. However, thanks to a quirk in the geography (the state line wiggles one way while the Missouri River wiggles the other way) , you can't get to this place without going through a corner of Nebraska. Unfortunately, the corner in question is downtown Omaha. (But the driving there wasn't as bad as I had feared.) There are apparently several other chain hotels in Carter Lake. This one stands some distance from any of the others, its nearest neighbours being an abandoned drive-in restaurant and a recently refurbished "gentlemen's club".

I found the room rate very high, probably reflecting the hotel's closeness to the big city.
