“Excellent location, average hotel”

The good: The rooms were clean and the facilities were in good shape.very convenient location if you are doing business on Rock Island Arsenal. Several nice brew-pubs to eat and drink nearby, nice TV, good wireless internet connection, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff etc.

The bad: No fridges or microwaves in the room. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey. The parking is ground level behind the hotel with no particular security other than a card reader and a lift arm.
There was nothing outstanding either good or bad about this hotel. I would probably stay here again for a short trip, but nothing over 2 or 3 days without a fridge, etc.

If you need to be in the downtown Davenport area, as we did, this is an OK place to stay, but not exceptional. The room we had was large and spacious, and we had a nice, upper floor view of the Mississippi River, which allows for some viewing of river traffic as well as the pelicans and eagles. The room wasn't as clean as we would have expected for this class of hotel. The drink glasses, for instance, appeared to have been used previously, and were otherwise filthy. We expected better for the price we paid. The mattress was very hard, and while I kind of like that, my wife absolutely does not. Don't know if that's consistently true in all rooms, of course.

Room Tip: An upper level, south-facing room will get you a nice view of the Mississippi River.

My husband had a work event here a few months back and the company rented out 100+ rooms for the employees. Unfortunately, our room had a used bar of soap in shower and toenails on the carpet. GROSS! We were not the only ones with dirty rooms. Another couple took the spare sheets down and used those on their bed because there was dirt and other unrecognizable specks. By the time we checked in, we did not have time to call the desk and by the time the party was over, we just dealt with it by putting a towel over the toenails on the carpet and rinsed the shower to the best of our ability.
Needless to say, my husband and coworkers were not impressed.

We stayed in a King Suite with a living room and bedroom. Regular bed, not a Sleep Number. The room cost $200 plus taxes. This was NOT a $200 room. If you can get this room about $75 cheaper, then that might be fair. When we checked in, we were given a room that overlooked the river. As we began to look around the room a train rolled by, horn and all. After inspecting the room, we were not impressed. They did give us a room at the corner of 2nd and Brady. We thought it might be quieter, but all night we heard vehicle engines as they took off from the stop light. There are several bars in the vicinity and we could her hooting and hollering throughout the night. It is a noisy, downtown hotel. When we got to the new room, you could see many pieces of lint and dirt on the carpet. I'm not sure it got vacuumed before us. Also, under the couch was weeks or months worth of trash and such. We went to the pool and it was heavily chlorinated. Bad sign. Around the rim of the pool was a grey film. The pool towels are the size of a large hand towel. We are not large people and we couldn't put them around our waist. We each used 4 towels to dry off. In our bathroom was black mold around the sink edge, and around the shower fixtures. The bathroom is very small for a $200 room and no extras. Usually with a room at that price, you might get some makeup remover pads, etc.. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The clothes line in The shower for wet towels was semi-broken, but usable. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee pot. The cups were not very clean. There was not a sink out in this area. The remote in the living room was either broken or needed new batteries. The bed was soooo uncomfortable and hard and lumpy. Not what you expect for a nice room. We were able to shut off the air and be comfortable. It was extremely loud and annoying. In the morning, the only option for breakfast was an overpriced buffet. We asked a clerk if there was a breakfast shop close to the hotel. She said there was a place called Central Perk down by the railroad bridge. We began to walk to the shop and ended up making a 7 block walk and still didn't find it. We skipped breakfast. Later on, during the Beaux Art Festival, we found the place in the opposite direction she told us, just two blocks from the hotel! Get your info of the area straight, please!!! Should have looked it up ourselves. We will not return to this hotel for the simple fact that it is overpriced for what you get. If you can get a cheap rate on Priceline or whatever, then it would be okay, I suppose. The staff was actually pretty friendly. No problem there. Beware of a $9 parking fee. We didn't see it anywhere on their website. They did comp that to us. Thank you, Radisson. Despite the issues, we had a nice time visiting Davenport and LeClaire.

Room Tip: You might try a room on 2nd street on the opposite side of the building from Brady.

Recently stayed on business and my stay was uneventful... just the way I like it. Typical midwestern hospitality with friendly staff, clean property, and nice spacious rooms. Radisson always throws in the little things that most of their competitors don't such as free Internet all the time and bottles of water in you room at no charge. One of my biggest peeves is being nickel and dimed to death at hotels. Thanks Radisson!

We stayed at this hotel for a dance competition and had a good experience in the past. Unfortunately this was prom weekend and we had kids running up and down the halls, screaming, knocking on doors from 10:00 pm on. I called the front desk and was told that when security comes in (not sure why there was no current security on duty) they will send them up. Called 2 more times for the same reason and by the third call at 1:30 am the front desk response was, "Really? They're out in the halls again?" My mother-in-law who was in the room next door and myself finally went into the hall and told the kids to go in a hotel room which they finally did. I mentioned this frustration at check out and instead of even acknowledging what I said he just took my room keys. I did fill out the hotel survey with my experience and received an email with the standard "we are working diligently to ensure it does not happen in the future... We appreciate the feedback." Some sort of personal acknowledgement like a phone call would have been appreciated instead of the standard form letter. Very disappointed especially when I had 2 dancers with barely any sleep for the next day of competition. Hotel Blackhawk it will be the next time. And I was not the only dance family with this unfortunate experience.

My sisters and I met for a girls' out trip. Location is downtown, but the cost was more than it was worth. No hot tub and the place looked like it was outdated. We paid for Riverview room, but did not get it. Restaurant was ok, but nothing fantastic. The day we were there it was below zero so the convenience of walking to attractions was not worth the cost. Sleep Number beds were advertised, but we did not have them in our room.
