We came for a weekend to spend in Dubuque. Close to everything, we walked right out onto the Riverwalk. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Had a view of the Mississippi River.

We originally planned one night in Dubuque, but there was enough to see that we signed on for a 2nd night at the Grand Harbor. It was a great value at this time of year. Others must think so, too, because we had to give up our king bed room on Friday night for 2 doubles due to reservations. The rooms are clean and fresh with great views! The concierge and check-in staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient. Two elevators make your stay easy. There is a Tony Roma's on the 2nd floor and Diamond Joe casino and the Mississippi River Museum are right across the parking lot.

this is where we stayed between our excursion up and down the Mississippi River Cruise on the Twilight. Beautiful hotel - ask for riverside room with balcony. close to lots of sights, has a great restaurant inside and a waterpark!

The rooms were clean, quiet which was great as was the view of the Mississippi river. The decor is dated more like 15 yrs ago, and the water park is something young children would enjoy. I would stay there again

The location of this hotel is in the downtown area along the river. If you have a waterview room you should see the Mississippi from your room. The hotel itself is average. Average rooms. Nothing special - just average.
The waterpark is more for young children. Kids over the age of 10 will get bored quickly. There is a Tony Romas at the hotel for a good meal option. I would encourge guests to visit the restaurants on Main Street (5 minute car ride) for some great local options with all price points available. Parking is free at the hotel and on weekends the lot is usually full. Walking distance to the Diamond Jo Casino and River Museum. Again, this is an OK hotel if you have very little kids interested in the water features. If no kids, I would suggest the Julien Hotel on Main Street or one of the nice bed/breakfast locations in Dubuque. There is also a Holiday Inn that is nice near by.
