“Very nice for a casino”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

Our women's service organization held their convention at this venue. Employees were so helpful....food was great... rooms very clean and saw employees cleaning the main areas all the time....wonderful gift shop.... Cute little shops downtown ...I think we all helped the economy there. There was a winery nearby and many attractions for a small town. The convention experience was wonderful...nice large meeting areas and again, employees very helpful and prompt with food for all our meals and breaks. The casino didn't seem very busy but it was "kind" to me...I WON some money. Great place to hold meetings.

Room Tip: Plenty of elevators and escalators so even 2nd & 3rd floor rooms are great but some rooms overlo...

The Staff were friendly and helpful. If you like a fluffy pillow, bring your own. Free Wi-Fi didn't support Android devices, what's up with that?! The free full hot breakfast buffet was a wonderful perk! The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfy. I didn't like that the towels were stored right above the toilet which had no lid. The casino is small but nice and, like all the other casinos I've been to, took my money. Not really much of a resort...no swimming pool or hot tub.

The A/C in the Casino can't keep up in hot weather. Yes, the Casino was stuffy and humid, at times. The parking lot potholes look like they are several years old, not much maintaining there.
The pillows are as flat as pancakes and there was no hot water in the guest rooms for a few hours in the morning. They did get it fixed so that it was at least warm water. Looks like they don't have an HVAC person on staff. They call a local company to fix the problem. The A/C in the rooms is quite and you can cool off from not being quite so cool after leaving the poor air conditioning in the Casino. I guess the trade-off for that isn't bad, but you'd think they would realize why people maybe don't stay long in the Casino if they have a room there. That's a revenue buster for them.

The free breakfast included with your nights stay, very small, limited selection of breakfast food. I've never seen sausage links cut up and thrown into the gravy to make sausage gravy before. Interesting idea, but it doesn't really work. You can get a hot, fresh waffle, if you want to go over and cook it for yourself. Same with toast, it's self cook/serve. All there is, is prepared basic scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon (it's actually not too bad) sauage links, biscuits and gravy with links cut up and thrown in. Some fresh fruit and stuff at one end, but nothing too exciting there.

Friday through Saturday, you can get a standard room for $109.00, plus tax??!! No, I don't really think so. The rates are a bit lower through the week trying to attract business, but I just don't see it.

They do have a coffee stand that is, well, not maybe open at the hours posted. Their prices for coffee or coffee with say a shot of expresso...it's higher priced than a Starbucks. Seems like they try to ask a premium price for anything they offer because they believe they have a "captive audience", so to speak. I hate to tell them this, but I do have a choice of where I travel to and stay.

I'd have to think twice about ever going back to visit the Casino, let alone stay in a room.

No matter how much you play, as far as I know they do not comp rooms! That's almost unheard of in the gaming industry. The gaming expierence is lame, at best. Service is questionable. The free breakfast with your stay...that's a real joke. You'll get better breakfast food at McDonalds down the street (and it takes a lot for me to say that) or at a local restaurant. They raise their room rates during July to Sept, which means you might as well go down the road and stay at a nicer property for the price. The rooms aren't bad, but they are pushing the envelope for the rates.

When you're more than likely going to lose money in the casino (as most people do) the room rate is just an insult to injury. You might as well go down the road to another city, pay for real nice place to stay and enjoy a feast at a retaurant fit for a king and still have money left over in your pocket.

Parking, that's a disaster. They block off a huge portion of their parking lot directly in front of the hotel for Valet. Well, Valet hardly gets used. It creates a big problem for hotel guests, even though there is an end entrance for the hotel, but it's blocked off from Valet parking that is almost unused. Someone had their head in the clouds when they layed this out. Even if you pull up front to unload your luggage, you're going to have to hoof-it some distance from the parking lot to get back to the front door.

Anyway, the bottom line is, if you're looking for a good casino/resort stay, I would avoid this property. If you like country-bumkin though, you might feel at home

It was our anniversary of seven years, and with five kids it's hard for us to get out. We had a great time. Service was very friendly and the room was wonderful. Our stay was just great. We will return, sooner than waiting for or anniversary. Thank you for making our special day so nice.

This is an affordable motel/casino in an adorable little Irish town. All of the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They had a several dining options within the motel, all very affordable and nice. . Free breakfast - sweetest waitresses & lots of choices. Cute gift shop with a variety of unique items. The casino was nice, but we are not really gamblers or smokers so we didn't spend much time in there. There is a beautiful view of a pond behind the motel on the second story where we watched geese fly in & play. There appeared to be camping hook ups behind the property as well.

This casino lives up to it's slogan! Everyone there is super friendly and always willing to help! Always greeted with a smile! Casino floor is well taken care of and machines and updated regularly. Hotel is usually much cheaper than typical casino hotels. We stayed in one of the sweets, the hot tub wasn't the best I've ever been in, but the room was spacious and had 2 large TVs. Contential breakfast is far beyond expectation - Eggs, bacon, hasbrowns, and a fruit and yogurt bar, along with waffles and such. It may be out in the middle of no where, but it's worth the trip!
