Third time in Saint Martin and we enjoyed Royal Palms Resort very much. Clean rooms, nice kitchen and a beautiful view of Simpson Bay. The staff was very friendly. Our favorite place so far to stay in Saint Martin. Great restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely recommend Skip Jacks and Lee's for seafood. For Mexican try Jimbo's. Warrens/Chesapeake Va

The resort was beautiful as ever - the front desk calls you by name and the rooms are impeccably clean. Be very careful of the neighboring food store - Garden market . They charge MORE than the pricing on the shelving. My wife caught this on a surfoard (mini) they had for $11.90 - the price on the bill $33.00 -- when confronted they wouldn't change it (they had already rung up my VISA card) and I couldn't get my money back let alone deal with how my 10 yr old was going to take it. - If ou need groceries there are 3 others close by that are not dishonest

The restaurants nearby were all great - note that the tip is usually included in the bill and its never pointed out - but quality and service are pretty good.

I like it here and plan to return

Room Tip: low numbered rooms are closer to the inlet for the large ships -- worth the view

Was very Happy with the Royal Palms Resort! Clean rooms and grounds kept up all the time. Stayed on the 4th floor which is much better viewing the oceans. beach is great. A great Dive shop is right next door Ocean Explorers and the friendly staff made the experience so wonderful. They made everything so easy. You can walk to many restaurants. Alot to pick from. Lee's is great. They have music nightly. We rented a car pretty cheap for a week 160.00 without insurance. Drove the island which the first time is so crazy but you will get the hang of it. No rules, just keep going!!!French bakery is so close fresh bread every day. Good!! Just don't leave anything in your car. They will tell you too. But anyways great island.. Have fun! I will go back!

Room Tip: Higher the better view..

In addition to a great location on the island, and a small, quiet gentle beach, the customer service at this resort rates 5 stars during my recent stay.Kirsy Richardson, resort coordinator, earns my appreciation for a timely email response and efforts made to minimize my walking while an ankle injury threatened my enjoymen of the resort. She went out of her way to make a great room assignment for me and all staff went out of their way to help as I hobbled along. The poolside restaurant had some great sandwiches and happy hours at the pool bar helped quench the thirst during the warm afternoons. Great job Royal Palm!

This is a nice resort in St Marteen! It has a great location for walking to restaurants and bars!Just be safe,as there are no sidewalks and the driving can get a lil crazy there! The beach is calm,if you want a long, walking beach you will have to ck out one of the other great beaches close by!The pizza galley across the street is very good and reasonable! The swim up bar is nice with good drink specials at the 4pm happy hour!Pool is nice but not huge!Staff very nice, can rent a car or excursions from the resort!Very peaceful in june of 2013,not very packed like it seemed it might be other times of the year!If you don't rent a car ,go out in front of resort and wave down public transportation vans for like a 1.50!Great cheap way to get around to different locals!Look or destination in the window of the van!Why pay more for a taxi !!Only good till 10pm though so plan wisely!Ck out Cherris at Maho for a funny show,You may not wanna take kiddos, but you can!The planes comin in at Maho are quite cool to see also!Go ck out this lovely beach resort!A very friendly island!go yo Phillipsburg for good deals too!Liquor is cheap there. You can bring back 2 bottles to US!!Have a great trip!Ask for a higher floor for more quiet and better views!Be sure to ck out the bluebeard charter trip! Its a blast,we went to Prickly pear and it was fantastic!A great meal and a great crew!Enjoy!

Room Tip: Higher floors are my preference! For quite and safety!Mostly for a better view though!
