This pub was recommended by the owner of the B&B we stayed in close by. It was a short walk and other than a local PTA meeting of the primary school held at one end of the pub it was empty. The food on offer was from a large menu with specials of Steak and Kidney pie, fish and chips, lasagna. The food was steaming hot with fresh veg and mash and a large jug of gravy. Glass of wine was £8 !.
Friendly staff and homely surroundings would bring us back again definitely. Food finished at 2100 hrs weekday.
