The promotion picture of Bulleigh Barton Manor does not do justice to the charm of the building and gardens set in stunning countryside.
We thoroughly recommend the warmth of the welcome, the beautifully presented rooms, the care and attention to every detail.
Breakfast was sublime (what a fantastic choices) and served in the beautiful dining room where we ate in comfort by the log fire.
Hosts; Liz and Mark, are welcoming, helpful and respectful. Well deserving of their star-rating.

That is such a kind review, thank you very much! We are very glad that you liked it here, it has been fun decorating and filling the house and trying to find the little finishing touches that will make it special for guests. As we said, it is still a work in progress, so we hope that you will come back to see how the house is evolving. It was lovely to meet you and thanks for our Christmas robin, which looks just lovely on the tree! Happy Christmas, with love, Liz

Recently returned from a fantastic few days at this B&B. We were welcomed with a cream tea and it just got better and better. The rooms are beautifully furnished, the hosts warm and friendly and extremely helpful. Liz is an excellent cook, breakfast menu is delicious. We also thoroughly enjoyed some evening meals cooked by Liz. We don't intend that to be our last visit. Very well done. I totally agree with the review from Susan L

What a gem this B&B is - friendly hosts whose attention to detail is amazing, homemade scones on arrival, homemade goodies in the room, my favourite smellies in the bathroom, delicious breakfasts, stunning home and gardens. Liz & Mark are an amazing couple who make their guests feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The celebration dinner they cooked for our party was incredible and so much more personal than a restaurant. We will definitely be back.

This was our third visit to this absolute gem of a B & B, set in the beautiful Devon countryside, and with the warmest welcome of hosts anywhere.
This time we took family and friends for a birthday celebration, and Liz and Mark prepared us a sumptuous meal which we were able to enjoy in the cosy dining room warmed by the log fire. The talent in the kitchen that Liz shows with the superb breakfasts was even more in evidence in the Spanish themed meal she prepared for us, and the attention to detail went right down to preparing extra dishes for the two members of our group that had some special dietary requests.
All of our group appreciated the many small details at BBM that set it apart, but it is the warmth of the hosts that I personally appreciate the most. I would love to give the review less stars to try to make sure rooms are always available for us, but frankly Liz and Mark thoroughly deserve the high ratings.
Try this place while you can, as they are bound to get booked out once word spreads, and it is just as cozy on a winter evening as it is stunning on a summer morning.
Once again our spaniel puppy, Cocoa, was as welcome as the rest of us and Zennor, their handsome Munsterlander seems to even welcome his visits.
We will be back. I need that smoked salmon and scrambled eggs in my life!

Not sure if we can add anything that hasn't already been said about this wonderful B&B, but here is our review anyway .
Looking for somewhere special to spend our 30th wedding anniversary our expectations were
exceeded at every level . This place is perfection !
We stayed in the Brooking room with it's fabulous en-suite bathroom. My husband who never has baths, preferring showers, couldn't resist trying the roll top bath & then he didn't want to get out !
Every day there were freshly baked cakes & biscuits on the tea table in our room & when I happened to mention to Liz how much I love lemon drizzle cake she made one specially.
One afternoon was a little cooler than the day before so instead of taking tea in the lovely garden we went into the elegant drawing room where Mike & Liz joined us. Felt like having a cuppa in the home of old friends.
If you enjoy a beautifully cooked English breakfast with eggs laid by Liz's girls at the bottom of the garden , this is the place for you , but don't forget to start with the lovely fruit salad.
Zennor the dog is adorable . You will want to take him home with you accept you won't want to leave at all, so do yourself a favour & treat yourself to at least two nights . You will be so glad you did.

Dear Sue, it was lovely to get your review and be reminded of sunny summer days and warm evenings outdoors. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you both, we really enjoyed your company. I hope that you will return one day, perhaps with a new puppy! I am sure that Zennor would love to meet him or her!
Best Wishes Liz

Liz and Mark welcomed us like friends with a cream tea and a log fire. Our bedroom was so inviting with a lovely internal window overlooking the courtyard. Liz tempted us further with delicious flapjack to accompany the tea and coffee provided. With walks from the door and delicious breakfasts together with a relaxing resident' lounge we felt truly pampered. We'll be back.

Everything was perfect so I don't know where to start.
On arrival we were offered a cream tea which was included in the price. However due to our late arrival we couldn't take advantage of this offer; however if the coffee cake that was provided in the room was anything to go by, it would have been delicious.
Nothing is too much trouble; on arrival Liz very kindly rang and booked a table for us at the local Inn for the evening.
We stayed in The Willow Room which was really well equipped and so beautifully decorated with most of the soft furnishings having been made by Liz.
We met Zennor the dog who was very pleased to see guests and would have loved to have joined us for breakfast. Talking about the breakfast - well - Delicious, locally sourced food that was beautifully presented. A really good choice, something for everyone.
Liz and Mark are probably the best hosts that we have had the pleasure of meeting. Nothing is too much trouble and they really have thought of everything. The information pack in the room is so informative that we were disappointed only to be staying for one night.
The views from the Manor are stunning and you are able to take advantage of them from the drawing room which you can use during your stay.
The beautiful surroundings and the hospitality provided by Liz and Mark made this such a relaxed weekend. Well done Liz and Mark it really does feel like your own home whilst having the privilege of staying in a historic and beautiful property.
Just to think we nearly stayed in a "Hotel" which would have been more expensive if we had included breakfast.
The Manor is really well positioned for visiting the area. And "Thank you" for pointing us in the right direction for the trip home with a quick visit to Totnes and Ashburton.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful.
