Went on a damp sat morning for a walk around the park and as it ties in with long distance walks managed to see more of the surrounding countryside. Park is small and manageable with a duck pond and ample parking. Cafe/tea rooms were fantastic - home made pies and cakes at a reasonable price - just what you want after a refreshing but wet walk!

If you enjoy peaceful walks in the great outdoors, this is the place to be. The woodland walks are delightful, the river was spectacular on the day I visited, as there had been a lot of rain the day before and the river was fast flowing and extremely high. The sunlight breaking through the cover of trees in the woodland was quite magical. The parkland once belonged to the Craig y Nos Castle which is now a Hotel, which was once the home of the opera singer Adelina Patti. I approached the hotel receptionist who very kindly allowed me to have a look inside the hotel and was very impressed with the small theatre which is part of the hotel. There is a tea room in the park with outside seating which is the best place to be on a pleasant day. Enjoyed my visit and the wonderful photo opportunities.

Lovely little country park hidden away with beautiful walks. Cafe with gifts in the park with a medium sized lake.

Visited park on first day of school hpls with my two young grandchildren to enjoy a nice picnic etc, only to find not a single bin in the park, lots of litter in long grass around tree stumps, why?also waited 12mins for 4 ice creams in a busy cafe where the staff are clearly overworked, surely the £6 we paid for these is enoygh to pay a young schoolleaver a min wage to serve icecreams in baking 80 deg temperatures. As one of south wales large attractions we need to improve

I had the misfortune to visit the cafe today 23 July 2013. What a difference from last year! Last years food was great. This year.... disgusting.
I ordered the 'Gourmet Burger' It was nothing more than a mass produced piece of junk served in a very poor pre-sliced roll.
It looked nothing like the picture on the menu card. It tasted revolting. When I queried with the member of staff he replied (without and apology) that 'all our meat comes from a local butcher' and that was it.
Never again.....
