We stopped here on the way to catch the ferry from Dover. We travel with our 2 small spaniels, so always look for somewhere "dog friendly".
We were certainly not disappointed at the Black Horse. Didn't check in till 9pm. Pub very busy but food still on offer. Enjoyed a sharing platter and a few glasses of Australian Shiraz. Service excellent. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Food nicely presented and tasty. Accommodation is separate from Pub. There are about 25 little "cottages" set around a garden area. Parking is easy. "Cottages" spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished. More spacious than your average hotel room and with its own front door. Breakfast served in the pub. Well cooked traditional menu. Would not hesitate to recommend. Only a 40 minute onward drive to Dover.
