Waterloo / Lost Island Waterpark KOA
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Very nice quiet clean place. Area was patrolled each nite for safety. Karl the campground manager was extremely nice and helpful, seemed very genuine and caring. Campground staff was very friendly and willing to help. Sites were level and easy to pull in even with our 40ft camper, and there was still room for the truck to park. We would return to this place anytime.

Room Tip: Spring for the deluxe campsite, it has a awesome brick patio with a fire ring!

A new campground on a lake, in the process of being landscaped, but very pleasant. Quiet and peaceful, you can walk around the lake if you want. The facilities were clean but the men's showers were not good - no rose, water everywhere, no temp control, and a button that only produced hot water for about 20 seconds. Otherwise, staff very pleasant and helpful, would stay here again.

We stayed for a family reunion where we camped in our trailer and the rest were in cabins. The cabins were clean and well layed out. We used the pavilion for a family meal. The kids enjoyed the playground. The store had many items in it and the staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed the water park also. This park will be very nice in another year or two when the grass and trees mature. Would definitely go back.

This KOA is only a little more than a year old, but they know where they want to be. As others have said trees and grass needs to mature, but its a very spacious park with 9 cabins, 2 clean shower houses, the lake, 2 party pavilions, dog park and convenience store with gas and diesel. Very close to town with all the amenities you could ask for. The Manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. Great Place to stay whether it be for 1 night or an extended stay.

We stopped here for just one night on our way from the Twin Cities to St. Louis. Bathrooms were clean and the sites were spacious. We did not have enough time to use any of the amenities, but would happily stay again.

My family stayed here for 1 night in our motorhome with 2 dogs. It is across the road from a large waterpark. The grounds are beautiful even though the park is fairly new. The man made beach on the small lake was very nice and the lake water was warm. We taught both our dogs to swim there. There is a small island in the middle of the lake which you can walk to. The dog parks were fenced in with dog agility equipment and were clean. There was plenty of open space to exercise your dogs. The store was well stocked. The staff was friendly. My dogs would definitely stay here again.
