We had a Sat/Sun stay. Nice welcome and relaxed atmosphere. A wonderful heritage building and fantastic location. Any shortcomings in comparison to other places (the electric shower is a bit low on flow) are attributable to staying in such a unique an old house, which is well looked after. The staircase and hallway is a gem. The long unmade drive is an issue for low cars, which need care over the bumps.

Will probably go back when we can.

Welcoming hosts, outstanding property and location. I was surprised at how reasonable the rate was for my stay. I would have happily have paid more.

It is very reassuring in this modern age to find a B & B that is just that and some. Even if a little understated. A warm comfortable room with breakfast. In a well-loved family home (manor). One happy pilgrim!

Thank you. MC a former conservator of old buildings.

We were three friends who took all 3 rooms. We had a great stay - from being given a pot of tea and biscuits on arrival, to friendly chat, to great breakfast, and being given the freedom of the lovely garden. Like the rest of the house the lounge/dining room is on a grand scale and has cards/games and TV. Nothing was too much trouble - and one of us had several specific dietary requests. The views from the bedrooms are breathtaking, the beds very comfortable, and a good supply of tea, biscuits etc..

Couple of minor points: access road is rutted but okay if you are careful; family room's private bathroom is at other end of hall but this was fine for us especially as no other guests.

Try and fit Greenham Hall into your travels in the west - we all highly recommend it and would certainly book again.

Room Tip: All have good views.

I stay in many establishments all over the country. This was one of the best. Friendly host and hostess, full of interesting artifacts and lovely pictures, spotlessly clean and well appointed, and an excellent breakfast. Immaculate garden and fabulous views. You will need satellite navigation or a good map and a navigator to find it, but worth all the effort.

Room Tip: Beautiful views over open countryside and a well manicured garden

As a family we recently had 2 nights at Greenham Hall, such a magnificent house and beautiful surroundings; a lovely part of the country to visit. Peter and Caro Ayre were very welcoming and made us feel right at home, and there's not many B & B's where you're offered afternoon tea as well. We would definitely revisit Greenham Hall.

What a delightful place to stay. We spent three nights at Peter & Caro's delightful home and will be returning again. The hospitality of our hosts, the excellent room, delightful guests lounge area, surrounding gardens and views made it the perfect break. Probably the most peaceful stay we have had in the UK.

My daughter and I spent three wonderfully peaceful nights at Greenham Hall last month. The garden was fabulous as we were there in the English spring time. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable, we wished we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious and the view a beautiful, pastoral vista. Greenham is close to many attractions and the area is peppered with lovely English villages and friendly pubs. Caro, our host was delightful and so helpful, much more so than any other B&B we stayed at during our 5 week tour of the UK. I definitely recommend a stay there if you are in the area. We would love to return sometime in the future.
