We have been travelling The UK and Ireland for the last 5 weeks and came across the Old Dairy at Bishops Barton by default. What a gem we found! Immaculate accommodation, friendly hosts who were more than happy to help out anyway they could. We had stayed in a few B&B's on our travels are were feeling a little disappointed but after staying with Liz & Steve we finally found what we were expecting in a B&B' friendliness, exceptional accommodation with all the special little touches even a small thing like fresh milk for tea and coffee makes a big difference and showers where you don't have to climb in and out of the bath was wonderful! The Old Dairy has been renovated to the highest standard. Great free wifi coverage was also a huge bonus. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough, it is out in the country on a fairly narrow road but well worth the drive. The gardens are just beautiful to wander around and just relax! Thanks again Liz and Steve we had a fabulous stay with you! Sandra & Kerry

We were a party of 3 women down from Hertfordshire, attending a wedding in nearby Wellington, the location was perfect and the hospitality shown by Liz & Steve was excellent. The room was very stylist and exceptionally clean, loved the small details that Liz had provided, would definitely stay there again and would strongly recommend anyone visiting Somerset to stay there. Thanks to you both for a lovely 2 night stay, Jean, Gay & Lorraine

My wife & I stayed at The Old Dairy for two nights following a week in Cornwall. We had decided to treat ourselves & booked the four poster suite which turned out to be perfect in every way. Liz was so friendly & welcoming & looked after our every need, including booking us in at some amazing local hostelries for evening meals. The room was furnished to a very high standard & had splendid views over the Somerset countryside. The breakfasts were to die for & it was a pleasure to be made to feel so welcome by Liz & Steve. Next time we visit Somerset we will definitely be staying again & have already told Liz that we will be returning to celebrate our anniversary next year!!

I unreservedly recommend this establishment. Great location, wonderful rooms, and a brilliant breakfast. Liz and Steve were most welcoming and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the Somerset weather.... it rained a lot but then thats why the countryside is so green and beautiful.

Room Tip: They are all good and if stairs are a problem there are two rooms on the ground floor.

I'm not sure who enjoyed your being here most. Me or You? You were a real pleasure to have as guests and I do hope you'll come again. Thanks so much for your great review and especially for the kind donation to my NSPCC JustGiving Appeal, Liz

We found The Old Dairy online when needing just one Saturday night stay while en route between South Africa and Switzerland. What a find!
The four poster room was beautifully fitted with everything provided for our comfort.
Liz was the perfect hostess - a mine of local information and serving up a great full English to start the day.
The location was superb - beautiful views and tranquility.
Make sure you check out the imperious stag in the garden!
We'll certainly be back.
Kerry and Steve
