“A Good Night's Sleep”

We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Colby on our way back from Colorado. It was 100% smoke-free and since it was a newer hotel (not a converted one) the room smelled fresh and clean. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. This was day 10 of our trip, and this was hotel was an excellent place to stay. Great place for a great price.

We had planned on spending the night in Hays on our trip from Oklahoma to Colorado. We were making good time and decided to drive to Colby. After looking at reviews on Tripadvisor, we called another hotel and was quoted a price of $107/night. We called the Sleep Inn and spoke with Susan. She gave us two price quotes that were the cheapest of our trip. Susan was equally as pleasant in person. We weren't expecting such a luxurious stay.

Room Tip: From the parking lot, lobby, elevator, room and bathroom, the cleanliness was above expectations. O...

We stayed for one night during a long trip from Utah to Texas. The hotel is new and modern; the tv has a buffer board behind it so you don't hear any tv noise from room to room. Great location with several good restaurants in the immediate area. We ate at the Village Inn and it was excellent--good, home style food and great prices. Be aware, however, that if you're traveling further east on 70, nearly all of Ellis county (Hays, KS) is a speed trap and the fines are very steep. We were over the limit by just 6 mph, no traffic in sight, and being out of state we didn't stand a chance at getting just a warning. Beware! They're out to raise their revenue!

We stayed here as a stopping point for the night on a road trip. The in-house reservations person was very nice and helpful when a I called a couple hours before we arrived. We got in late and the front desk person was also very nice and helpful.

The property is newer and decorated nicely - a comfortable yet somewhat modern decor. We were really happy with our room. All we really require for a one-night interstate stop is cleanliness, but the room was clean and spacious. The furniture was modern with a flat screen mounted on the wall. The bathroom was very clean and also had a nice vanity with a granite countertop. The bed was comfortable. We could hear a little bit of traffic from the interstate, but just barely.
They had a complimentary hot breakfast that was good. We also used the pool in the morning - trying to tire out our toddler before hitting the road again. It was a nice size and again, very clean.

I appreciated the "green" efforts they made but the main drawback of this hotel was the low water pressure in the shower. It was so low that it was tough to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. However, everything else was really great so we will definitely stay again the next time we drive through.

Brand new hotel on the highway. Great clean big rooms. Comfortable beds, excellent staff and good breakfast. If they manage to keep the 'new' feel up by good maintenance, this is definitely a great place to stay on a road trip. Recommended.
Try Montana Mike's around the corner for a great local steak.

Got tired on a road trip. Stopped in ramada ($129) and holiday inn ($119) then finally came here (paid $96). It's newer and cleaner than ramada or holiday inn. Having seen all three I'm surprised this one isn't the $129 room. I've never stayed in western Kansas before and was scared away from any budget hotels/motels by reviews and pictures. I decide to splurge a little on accommodations and I am very pleasantly surprised. The room has a flat screen tv, modern contemporary furnishings, granite bathroom countertop, microwave, fridge, and iPhone docking clock. If your budget allows it this is by far your best choice in Colby.
