This place never had much to recommend it other than the fact that it was relatively new and relatively clean. It's on a bare lot off the highway. Looked desolate. The night lady was pretty friendly when we checked in, so that was a plus. She informed me that wireless probably wouldn't work in my room and gave me a cable to use.
The following morning my neighbor turned his TV on at full blast at 5:50. I tried calling the front desk (four times) to see if they could talk to him but kept getting a busy signal. His TV was so loud it sounded like it was in my room.
Got home from work on night two and decided to check some email. When I tried the cable I got nothing and I called the front desk. They said I should come down and sit in the lobby where the wireless signal would be stronger. When I turned on my wireless radio I found I was able to pull a decent signal in my room after all. Unfortunately the internet was slow as molasses.
Got home from work on night three and my water bottle was missing. Called down to the front desk and they told me the cleaning girl thought it was trash. I guess the thing that pushed me over the edge was that they didn't even have the decency to apologize for throwing away something of mine. That just makes me very angry. I can understand the mistake if they could just say 'gosh, we're sorry.' I really liked that water bottle, otherwise I wouldn't have called down about it.
Maybe I'm a lot different from other people, but I don't want housekeeping to touch anything in my room other than the linens and trash. If I leave something on my desk they should leave it there, whether it looks like trash to them or not. If I want it out of my room I know where the trash can is.
Too many little things wrong and the ridiculously thin walls are enough for me to cross this one off my list.
