We spent three nights at Karen and Tom's guest house, and would echo previous reviewers' comments about the kind welcome we received. Our double room was spacious and comfortable, and the countryside was peaceful at night.
There was plenty of choice at breakfast, with a buffet of fruit, juices, yoghurts and cereals, and (the best bit) your choice from a menu of hot food options. From our experience, I think that Karen will always do her best to offer a menu to suit your dietary requrements and, whatever you choose, it will be delicious. :o)
If you're in the area to visit St Andrews, as we were, it's only 15 minutes away by car.
Worth it, for such a relaxed and comfortable stay.

My daughter and I stayed in a twin room in this fabulous B&B to attend an evening function in St Andrews. It fitted the bill perfectly, much quieter than staying in town and with plenty of parking, this luxuriously appointed house is located in beautiful surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble for our lovely hosts, Karen and Tom. Breakfast was delicious with a good range of locally sourced foods on offer.Check out their amazing new tearoom which is opening soon....... we can't wait to return to Pinewood and highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Room 2 is a spacious twin room with a huge ensuite (with a bath and shower), absolutely lovely decor...

Spent 2 nights on a last minute break. Great place to stay. Quiet and comfortable. King size bed suited my tall frame. Great hosts in Tom and Karen. Good selection for breakfast. If we are in this neck of the woods again then it is the place to stay.

we recently went to Leuchars Air Show and stayed at this fabulous guest house for 2 nights, had a fabulous room looking out to the front of the hotel, excellent choice for breakfast. Warm and friendly folks have no hesitation in recommending this establishment for a break or holiday.

This was a lovely cosy clean b and b the host Karen was fantastic and the house is separate , so you don't feel your tipp toeing round someone's house, it feels more like a hotel. The location is good the pub down the road is also fantastic for food and value. I would highly recommend this place, I would gladly go back, the breakfast was also great.

I stayed here for 3 nights because all accommodations in the town of St. Andrews were fully booked. It's a nice house in the country. My room was clean and comfy with a nice view of the countryside. It had its own bathroom with toilet, sink & shower which is a great feature in a B&B making it more like a hotel. Breakfast is included-either a full Scottish meal or for light morning eaters like me you can opt for a selection of cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit & juice. There is also free and good Wi-Fi access.

I was apprehensive about easily getting in and out because I was going back & forth to St. Andrews but that was no problem as I was given a key to the front door and could come and go as I wanted. The proprietor is very friendly and made me feel at home right away. She checked on train schedules for me and booked a taxi for my departure. It's about a ten minute walk to the bus stop where buses come around every 15 minutes and take you to the main bus station in St. Andrews. As I was having late dinners in St. Andrews, I opted for taxis to return. They are obviously more expensive than the bus (unless you are several people) but only take around 10-15 minutes to get back. It's only around 5 minutes by taxi to Leuchars where you catch the train to Edinburgh.
