Located in Mission Farms which has quickly become a foodie destination, Room 39 offers consistently interesting food proudly sourced from local farms. The restaurant is a white-tablecloth bistro with the art of local painters featured on the walls. For those who want to sample more of the inventive offerings, the restaurant offers a well-priced $39 option that includes appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. And at dinner there is always an 'amuse bouche,' a taste of some new recipe the chef is trying. This time we were served a cold beet and apple soup, very beet-y. For our $39 dinners we had a light and fresh tasting gazpacho, risotto (enough to bring home) and calamari, filet and salmon with sides, and peach/blueberry cobbler and chocolate/strawberry cake. A delicious meal and excellent value!
