Paying over $45 a night is overpriced. When I first walked in the both of the outside doors that are supposed to be locked and only opened with a room key failed. No security. My room smelled like cigarettes. There was a whiskey bottle top on my floor. The microwave turntable had butter from popcorn all over it. There is no securing the window to the outside and it opens up real easy. The toilet rocks when you sit on it and I'm a small person. The bath mat inside the tub is all torn up and rough. The smoke alarm just has wires hanging from the ceiling.
On the positive..The front desk clerk was very polite and caring. The refrigerator works great as does the microwave. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. albeit no Hilton.
It would do the owner a great deal good to take care of his property showing he cares for his guests. So sad to see motel owners care so little about them.

Room Tip: Look before you rent so you can see if it's clean or smelly.

Heading east, direction home, during a 16 day motorcycle trip we stopped here because it was cheap. This property is awful. Completely surrounded by asphalt, and next to a multi-hundred truck stop where the rigs never shut off their engines or refrig units. Couldn't even figure out which door to enter as the lobby. Upon entering, there was this Jamaican vagrant just hanging around.
The young guy at the front desk was nice though, and should be mentioned.
There wasn't any decent restaurant within walking distance so we ate at the truck stop which was pretty awful.
Good news! With the a/c on full blast, we were able to drown out most of the noise and get a pretty good night's sleep, which is most important.
The free breakfast, was pretty lame too. Just a heavy carb offering. I'd never stop back here again.

Came to town on a business trip and was really pleased with the service. The clerk was very knowledgeable about the town and helped with directions and places to eat. The rooms were of decent size, clean, and seemed to have a good variety of amenities. Furthermore, the hotel seems to be in an ideal spot. It is close enough to the highway to easily access it but not to close that you hear the interstate traffic.

My family and I stayed here for thanksgiving and it was a great place. The room was nice, had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot. At request we were able to get an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. The breakfast was great as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We'll stay here again.

The room is not too bad and has a microwave and small fridge in it. It feels like it's several years overdue for an update. The staff is very friendly, but couldn't come up with an ironing board though they did have an iron so we'll just be using the desk and a towel for an ironing board. I'm happy to see an in-room safe so I have somewhere to put my electronics when we're not here. I was happy to find that they do NOT have soft water here - it's municipal water. There is no internet access at this hotel, so unless you have a mobile broadband card, you won't be surfing the web. Not sure how this place compares to other places in Newton, but I can't imagine that it's any better / worse than the other places here. Don't know if I could recommend this place to a friend though...
