I travel for work and pleasure several weeks each year and found the Paola Inn and Suites to be a nice break from the routine. There are a few things about this hotel that make it stand out from the standard highway hotel. First is the great staff that you meet at check in. My room was ready and the desk clerk was as freindly as Aunt Bea. She made several great recommendations for supper on my first night and the barbque restaurant next door was a perfect way to cap off an 11 hour drive that day. There are several sit down and drive through restaurants nearby and super Walmart just across the street. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It wasn't as nice as my sleep number bed at home but I slept surprising well. Since the hotel was not completely full I think they staggered the guest so no one would hear someone in the room next door. It was very quiet and the hotel sits back from the main road far enough to eliminate highway noise. The only problem I had in my 5 night stay was the control buttons on the hot tub. If you play with the buttons in just the right sequence you can get the jets to come on. Breakfast is simple and from my observations looked like it included waffles, fruit and cold cereal. Overall, it was a nice place to stay when you have to be away from home.

Room Tip: Request rooms on the West side for less noise but the noise on the East side is minimal.

This is a nice property, stayed for work many times in 2010. Very clean, great hot breakfast, decent outdoor pool. Has a BBQ restaurant next door that has good food. Walmart and other restaurant's very near by (both fast food and sit down). Rooms have a fridge as well.

My husband and I stayed in this Motel and we were very impressed! It is absolutely immaculate from the inside of the coffee pots to the windows and under the beds. The room smelled so nice and clean when we stepped into it. The room was extremely comfortable. The bed was comfy and not hard like a cement slab like in most motels. They gave us plenty of towels and soap. There was a microwave, fridge, ironing board, hair dryer and coffee pot.

All of the employees were so nice and friendly and helpful. The room rate was reasonable as well. The continental breakfast was to die for! It had everything from waffles to breakfast sandwiches and much more.

We can honestly say that this was one of the nicest, most comfortable and cleanest motels we have ever stayed in. We have no problem rating this motel as 5 stars!

Stayed in July 2011 in a two room suite. One room had refrigerator, table, and a sofa with hide-a-bed. The second room had a king sized bed. The only negative thing about the room is that the air conditioner / heater wall unit is in the sofa room, so the door dividing the rooms can't be closed without roasting or freezing the occupants in the bedroom.

That said, the room was good sized, comfortable, and up-to-date. The property is located next to U-169 highway. It is clean and the staff was professional and helpful. The included breakfast is very good. Paola is small in the grand scheme of things, but has some good restaurants and a historic downtown, as does nearby Osawatomie. It is located only 1/2 hour from Olathe (southern metro KC).

Also, there is an outdoor swimming pool which we didn't try but appeared to be clean and there was a water spray feature.

Well we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The rooms were quite large for a standard 2 queen room. The ceilings were higher than normal which added to the room. The outdoor pool was large as well, love outdoor pools . Everything on the property was well maintained and the staff were good to deal with. The breakfast room was large and well stocked. This hotel exceeded expectations and we would definitely stay again.
