I have been to many Minskys over the last 20 years, but this by far was the worst experience that I have ever had. Fist, we walked in and had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated. There was very few people in the restaurant and most of the booths were dirty. The hostess had to not only greet us, and seat us, but she also had to bus the tables in order to seat us. We waited while she bused a table and seated one family, then bused our table to seat us. Meanwhile another family came in and she greeted them nicely and said she would get to them as soon as she bused our table and seated us. They were like "all these empty seats and we have to wait?. Needless to say, they left. Shortly after that I saw 5 more people come from the back to help.
It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks, (water w/ lemon), then we were able to order. We then watched 3 other tables that came in after us, get served there food first. Our waiter came by to refill our waters and filled one glass when the other two needed filling. He ran off and we had to yell at him. Luckily the hostess heard us and told him to come back. Needless to say, we did not tip very much. It seemed to us that the hostess deserved our tip more than anyone else in that place. The waiter did try to apologize about us getting served after the others. His excuse was that they got "slammed" real hard before we came. I'm sorry, but I have worked in restaurants before on major holidays where we feed people non-stop for 10 hours straight. This place would not know slammed unless it was the door of customers walking out.
