“Oozing with charm and exceptionally located”
Reviewed 17 January 2014

My stay at the Hotel at Old Town was terrific. A vendor I am working with suggested this hotel, and had arranged for a fruit / goody basket to be in my room. A nice touch.

The hotel is a converted building, so it has a feeling of deep history. The rooms was very nice, and featured a kitchenette.

One of the best parts of this hotel is its location. We were walking distance to many bars and restaurants, which we took advantage of. There is a parking garage next door to the hotel which made getting in and out easy.

The breakfast was good - slightly above my expectations.

The staff was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Wichita.

I've stayed here twice and found it to be very nice and a great value for the money. It's perhaps a mile off the freeway in an interesting part of town.

The rest of this is filler to reach a requirement to write 200 characters.

I wish you a safe and happy trip.

We stayed here while in town touring with a musical. We had an excellent stay and would stay there again. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The rooms were adorable, even down to the antique phone! Very clean and comfortable.

Built in 1906, the four-story building once served as a busy warehouse facility for the highly successful Keen Kutter brand of tools, silverware, dishes, and sporting goods. The public areas of the hotel are imaginatively decorated with old store and product displays.

Beautifully renovated in 1999 each room has a kitchenette and fridge for longer stays. It felt like staying at your grannies place in a nice way, with slightly retro furniture and decor.

Internet and the very good buffet breakfast were included.

My suite had a massive living room and a double jacuzzi in the large bedroom. The retro touches are everywhere, including faux rotary phone.

The bed, pillows, towels and toiletries were excellent. The shower was okay.

The kitchenette includes fridge, microwave, stove, coffee machine and dining area.

It's in an excellent location, you can walk to several museums and the parking is free in the station next door.

I highly recommend this hotel when in Wichita.

This place was more than I expected, I stayed for one night and would definetly go back. The rooms are very nice and clean and the hotel is outstanding. There are restaurants and bars close by within walking distance.

This place is very comfortable. Kitchenettes in every room, great wi-f, lots of HD TV, good location and best of all, artifacts from the Keen Kutter factory that this hotel was converted from! Take a walk around each of the 4 floors and check out the all of the cool, functional old items that Keen Kutter used to make.
My room faced the internal courtyard, and had balcony, which I really enjoyed.
The blinds on the balcony don't close completely, and the internal lights never shut off, so if you need complete darkness to sleep, perhaps an outer wall room is a better choice.
The decor isn't exactly my favorite, but it's consistent and in good condition.

As I have said in my other reviews, a hotel has to do a lot to impress me.

For the price, this hotel was so-so. Staff was friendly, which was nice. If you like live jazz, you would probably like it. For me, it was irritating.

Breakfast was certainly above average. For that, I will upgrade it to four stars.

Room was decent, but nothing worth writing home about. I was here for a meeting. If it wasn't for that, I probably would have been elsewhere.

Bottom line, if you are in the area, it is a decent place to stay.
