No major problems. Internet was out first night, but due to city wide outage. The door on one of our 2 rooms wouldn't stay locked. Staff was very courteous and addressed the problem quickly. Front desk staff was courteous and friendly. Good location and value.

Good room, good value, excellent location to downtown. We have stayed here several times. Staff is friendly, breakfast is great. The beds are super comfortable. The only negative I noticed is that the covered outdoor seating area floods when it rains due to downspout placement. Not a big deal.

Room Tip: Call directly for best rate, not the general reservation line.

This is a true gem of a place. I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived because this appeared to be an older hotel. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms to be very clean and well cared for. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not fancy but just what we needed..

We stayed here on our visit to Makers Mark. We had our 4 kids with us, so we had adjoining rooms. This worked out great. It is very close to the town square. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are older but very clean. We also had patio seating outside each room. There is a large grassy picnic area in the back to enjoy and let the kids run. Updated TV's in the rooms. The shower heads are a little low for someone tall. Breakfast was very nice-eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereals, breads. Typical fare. Very fresh and my kids enjoyed it.
My parents also stayed here in a separate area of the hotel and they liked their room. They always pick Best Western when given a choice.
(The only negative would possibly be a little mold on a few of the grout lines in the shower. Not a ton, but enough to notice. I've seen much worse in more expensive hotels.)
I would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting the Bardstown area. The price was very comparable with other local choices and looked nicer than some other places.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room so you can enjoy the patio seating outside each room.

As other reviewers have said, the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our room was horrible: very damp and musty, carpets were old and filthy, there was mold around the sink and shower, and worst of all, the toilet had not been cleaned. There was a card saying the room had been inspected, but it was about 3 weeks before our stay, and that much mold does not grow in 3 weeks. So, the inspection card really meant nothing. We are not that picky, stayed in 10 other hotels on our trip and were satisfied with them. I don't understand how our experience was so different than the majority of reviews would indicate.

Stayed at this hotel with our Harley Owners Group and had a great time. The area is great for motorcycles and the motel was very motorcycle friendly as they have a covered area that bikes could be parked in. Very nice area to sit outside and talk as a group. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and the staff was courteous and patient. The square is within walking distance. Overall I loved staying here and am looking forward to going back.

This motel is very clean and was a very pleasant experience staying there. The town of Bardstown in itself was very interesting and I would stay there again if I were in the area. The motel staff more than meet my expectations and the location wasn't as close to Louisville as I would have liked it to be. I got up early and the traffic wasn't bad at all driving into Louisville to the expo center.
