Very Peaceful and Relaxing

I recommend King creek resort ..It is so peaceful and relaxing there..The new owners a very pleasant ..We call the Manager about a running toilet and they where there with in 10 minutes fixing it now you tell me another place that would do that at 9.30 at night ..I had me two children there with me..They enjoyed the paddle boat witch was free for them to ride and They really enjoyed the little beach they have there..I enjoyed the peace and quite setting on the sun patio an reading a book it a very cute resort ..and the management and house keepers are very friendly an willing to help in any way they can ....Thanks for the relaxing and peaceful stay we will be back

Good fishing and family fun.

I thought it was a good value with good service. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The kids had a great time. We will be going back.

Very satisfied!

We have been coming here with our family for six years, and we never miss! We come with our adult children and many grandchildren, and everyone always has a great time. We love the fishing areas and have had some good catches. The kids love the sand and swimming, and there is a complimentary paddleboat! The new owners are very friendly and are working very hard on updates to the resort, and cabin 8 was beautiful, very clean, and updated. We will be coming back again next year!

we like it very much.peacful

it was very peaceful,the staff was friendly,and the place we stay in was nice and clean and it has everything you need in it,its like everything you have at your own home.my girls had fun playing at the beach and the paddle boat they loved it and laugh the whole time when they were on it.they ask when can we go back?(and this is coming from 2 teenage girls)we will be going back soon.i like how they are fixing everything up and i like how friendly the house keepers are too,if you need anything they be right there to help you out with what every you need...

Caters to Seasonal Renters

The resort is under new ownership, which is a good thing since the previous owners clearly stopped spending money on upkeep and improvements many years ago. The bad news is that new owners have no experience in the hospitality business, and are neither fishermen or campers.

The staff tries hard to keep the place clean with what they have, but overall the whole place is sorely outdated and in some places just plain worn out. The seasonal residents all have cottages built from trailers, and there are only a handful of campsites for vacationers. There was one beautiful campsite right on the water, but the locals advised us that site, as well as one one we squeezed into, would be taken over as seasonal sites next week. The cabin was cleverly decorated with fishing gear, but there is only a certain level of "clean" you could make the place considering how old and worn out it was.

There is no restaurant, no campstore, no pool, no swimming beach, no playground, and little that I could see for kids to do.

This campground (hardly a "resort") was marginal for a guys fishing weekend, no way I would bring the family here.

If you rent a boat here, pay attention to the transaction. We were a little too trusting and forfeited our security deposit because we didn't notice that the condition of the equipment was not completely filled in on the form we signed, and wound up with a lost $150 cash deposit. The boat rental fee was reasonable and it ran fine, just be sure you make sure that all the spaces on the paperwork are filled in and accurate, and get a copy for your records before you leave with the boat.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Jimmie,general manager of king creek appreciate's all feedback and will use all of it as a report card from our guest's to improve service and conditions at king creek. And yes where new owners 2 years now, and after 10's of thousands in boat rentals you are the first person we have had to use the prop deposit from to replace the prop on the boat, And we will be spending almost $300.00 in repairs to the boats steering rod and cable from being bent after the boat hit something while on your rental,We're sorry that this happened on your trip,but we could not rent the boat in that condition.for the 8 cottage,s that we have 5 of the 8 have had remodeling done,1 cottage is new for 2012 and this off-season we will be building a new stick build cottage for 2013.On our website is photo's of all our cottage,s exterior,interior and 1 view of lake from the deck,so renters know what there getting before they get here. Their is a beach with 2 sun-decks on each end,2 swing sets,basketball net,horse shoe pits,bean bag boards and free use of a row or paddle boats with adult supervision and the most enjoyable for kids is the lake. And our beautiful campsite 20' from the water is a daily rental 30 amp service water electric only. FOR 2013 T V A which we lease our water front land from is making 19 of our campsites daily-weekly sites so we will have plenty for short-term campers, 30 amp site close to the water. On boat paperwork we go over a small rental agreement in front of you, show you prop before you start boat,and have you sign and give you a copy (which you need on water with boat) All we ask is bring boat back same way it left Again this was our first time doing this and it was not fun, where sorry, hopefully this is out last jim
