Stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Berea, KY for 3 nights while attending the Rolex 3-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park. Hotels in most of Lexington and the surrounding area were sold out. Found this location with availability at a good rate. Room was clean and comfortable with a bigger bathroom than other similar hotels we've stayed in. Bed seemed to be a memory-foam type mattress and was very comfortable. Pool and whirlpool areas were clean and in good repair though the whirlpool jets were very weak and the temp of 101 degrees was cooler than I like. Internet access worked well with ethernet line but had trouble connecting to the weak wireless signal.
Breakfast offered microwavable Jimmy Dean brand sausage biscuits, pastries, cereal, milk, etc but was not as good as similar hotel offerings. Also, posted signs for breakfast offerings did not match what was available such as a sign for fresh fruit in front of empty bowls and another sign for warm cinnamon toast no where to be found. This was early in the time window for breakfast so it was not a case of having just run out of the item. Above the microwave a chalk written sign boasted a simple recipe and directions for microwave preparation for Sweet as Honey oatmeal but no brown sugar (a listed ingredient) was available.
Only encountered a couple of staff members but each one was friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. Location of hotel is just off 1-75 so the 40 minute drive to the Horse Park was a direct route which was a bonus. There is a WalMart near the hotel which was handy as well.
Given the clean and comfortable room and the convenient location, I would consider staying here again if in the Berea area.

We usually stay at the Boone Tavern in Berea but decided to try the Fairfield on this trip. We were not disappointed. The place was immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fine. This motel is a good overnight stop or could be a two-nighter for anyone planning to do the sights of Berea.

We stayed at this inn while visiting relatives in the area. No reservations were made in advance. When we checked in, we requested a non-smoking room. We were given "the last no-smoking room available". When we got to the room, it was obviously NOT a non-smoking room. With no other rooms available, we tried to make do. There was still trash on the floor of the room from the previous guest and the bathroom door would not lock. The worst happened on Friday morning. My 15-year old son left his billfold (containing $60) in the room with his key. When we returned that afternoon, the key was there, but the billfold was gone. The manager on duty was rude and inappropriate to my son. The manager the next day made vague promises and said "he would call". Messages were left for the general manager, but none were ever returned. Two weeks later we have not heard from anyone. A police report was filed. Needless to say, we will never return to this inn.

My husband and I stayed here for one night and we were very disappointed. The lobby was clean and the clerk that checked us in was friendly. The carpet in the room was ragged at the door, trash from the last guest was still in the room and the blanket on the bed was obviously dirty with hairs all over it. We called the front desk and requested a blanket as there was not an extra blanket in the room. The blanket brought to us was a twin size blanket which would have been fine except both of us were freezing and wanted to use it. The matress was comfortable and that made the night seem not quite as bad as it could have been. Breakfast was fine except the bagels were stale but that wasn't really a big problem b/c there was lots of different foods there.

We stayed at this hotel traveling back from Myrtle Beach to Illinois Saturday June 30-July 1st. The check in was fast and the clerk had some wonderful recommendations for supper. The rooms we got (3 total) were great. The King was a little on the small side but the bed was the greatest I slept on. I loved they gave you enough pillows too. The other family we were traveling with had the two double beds in a room and the room was larger. They also commented how comfortable the beds were. The pool looked nice and the whole hotel was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling. It is not too fancy just comfortable. There were some loud children running in the halls in the evening but it was nothing that was out of hand. If you are tired when traveling and want a clean comfortable place to stay then make a reservation here. Even the person I booked with on the phone was helpful. Didn't stay for the breakfast but heard from another traveler it was great.

This was our first time staying at the Fairfield. As a government employee received a really great rate!! The room was clean but on a bit of the small side. WE LOVED THE BEDS!! It was like sinking into a cloud!! The kids loved the pool and the whirlpool!! The continential breakfast was delicious with the malted waffles and there was plenty of variety of other products. I would reccommend this hotel!

Stayed here on the way from IL to SC on 12/23. Did not have reservations - got a coupon book from McDonald's and used the $59 a night for Fairfield. It was pretty much what you'd expect, although having all interior entrances was nice and also the pool appeared to be good (it was indoor and we did not use it).

Breakfast was included and they had the usual continental fare plus a waffle maker, which was nice.

Beds were very soft and had the kind of comforter that slides to the floor in the middle of the night so we woke up freezing. Bathroom was fine, shower not that bad.

Over all it is exactly what I would expect for the price and the fact that it is off of the interstate.
