“Wonderfull Weekend!!!”
Reviewed 20 March 2011

From the minute we arrived, until time to leave, we felt more as if we were visiting old friends than trying a new place. Jim and Bonnie Warner were the best hosts you could ever ask for! The breakfast was so much more than I expected! I have had "Kentucky Hot Browns" all over the state, but Bonnie's were absolutely the best! The Warner's have paid meticulous attention to detail in the restoration of this Victorian Manor. We are very interested in history and old homes, and Jim took the time to explain the history of Eagle Hill Manor, as well as the rest of this very historic town.

The Inn itself is spacious, luxurious, and very true to the Victorian period. The front porch is very relaxing; we actually opted to bring our dinner back to the inn one evening and eat out there. The only thing missing was the clop, clop of horse and buggy going past the house. We had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable anniversaries ever, and will DEFINITELY be back!

We were in Kentucky for the week to bring our daughter back to her Mom and I wanted to plan a surprise trip for my husband. Between the 2 of us, we have 4 kids and have not been alone since he came on in March from Iraq. Mr. Warner was an awesome host and catered to our wants and needs. It was a very quiet and clean place. The breakfast was alot more than we thought. It was so big, we didn't have to eat lunch...LOL I would recommend any one and everyone to stay here. It's alot better than staying in a hotel. We had such a great time here, we didn't want to leave to go back home to Texas. He and I will make a tradition out of staying here any and every chance we get! The only thing missing was, we didn't get the chance to meet Mrs. Warner, she was on a church trip but we will be back to meet her! GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!

We wanted to hit the bourbon trail for the weekend, and Eagle Hill Manor is centrally located between both groups of distilleries. Jim and Bonnie Warner were extremely nice and very accomodating. Our family of four had the cottage to ourselves and it was extremely clean, comfortable, and newly updated/refinished with all the latest appliances and electronics. We drove from Lousiville to Lexington, South to Loredo and back again, and after seeing some of the alternative accomodations, we can honestly say that the Eagle Hill Manor was the right choice. Oh... and expansive front porch is to die for. We enjoyed sipping our bourbon on the cool nights from the day's tours. We only wish we have another few days to try the rooms in the main house. During the tour, we found each room delighfully appointed, and huge. Be that as it may, our cottage gave us a fantastic night's sleep as well.

We just returned from a magnificent trip to Kentucky for the 134th Derby. Bonnie and Jim Warner (the owners) were more than accommodating . . . going out of their way anticipating our every want and need. Each room of the B & B is decorated beautifully and the breakfast was superb. Because the location is "off the beaten path", it was a treat to drive into town for the "party atmosphere" and then return to Bloomfield for the "quiet, relaxing country atmosphere". I highly recommend this B & B and would definitely consider staying there again!

This was a beautifully restored old Victorian home. The rooms were well furnished, the bathrooms were updated and very functional. The beds were extremely comfortable. I had an excellant nights sleep. The breakfast served at 8:30 am was of wonderful quality and plenty filling. Coffee and tea were ready prior to 8:30 am and were very flavorful. The proprietor was Mr. Jim Warner. He was a delight to talk too and because of this we had a two hour breakfast. Mr. Warner went the extra mile for us. It was just a magnificent house run by a wonderful man located in a small town full of very helpful people. I would not hesitate to stay with the Warners again.
