We wanted just a quick and quiet get-away. The reviews let us know that the room would be nice. In addition we found Jim Warner a wonderful host. He was gracious and incredibly helpful with suggestions of places to eat and things to do. We love learning about the history of a home and/or area. Jim was willing to share. Just made the trip even better for us.

My wife and her Aunt and Uncle were taking a long weekend with one of our stops in Bardstown. After checking a few hotels in the area my wife and I decided to check into Bed and Breakfast. One with an excellent location to start out on the Bourbon Trail. A simple google search showed quite a few. There was really nothing that directed us to try Eagle Hill Manor Bed & Breakfast, but we are so glad we did. They were our first call, and after speaking with Jim I had a really good feeling and we called no others. Saying we had a great experience is an understatement, clean...very nicely decorated and smelled so fresh. The bed was great and bathroom was private and very clean. The breakfast served in the morning was delightful. It was the first time I have had "Kentucky Hot Browns and i can honestly say it was outstanding. And Jim will make sure your coffee cup never goes dry.
Sitting on the front porch in the evening with some of the other guests was incredibly pleasant. And it was great to talk with Jim about all the restoration that was done on this wonderful old Victorian home. We
would highly suggest any travelers to stay here, and feel safe and right at home !!!!! Thanks Jim and Bonnie,
We will stay again on our next trip to the area.

Two couples of us stayed this past weekend at the Eagle Hill Manor's Cottage in Bloomfield, KY. The cottage was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Jim and Bonnie Warner, owners, had cookies, snacks and drinks waiting for us when we got there. The breakfasts we had were excellant. We were only 10 miles from Bardstown and it was worth the drive to stay at Eagle Hill. Would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to all.

We stayed for a week at the "Cottage next door" with another couple. It was a wonderful experience. Jim and Bonnie are gracious hosts, Southern hospitality at its best. Jim shared lots of information about the local area and is a good story teller. Bonnie's breakfasts are fabulous. Seven days and every one was different, and delicious. The breakfasts were so good and so generous that we never ate lunch. The cottage is completely renovated and very comfortable. The cookies on our arrival, and the water and snacks were a nice extra. Bloomfield is within easy driving distance of all the distilleries on the Bourbon Trail, and there are lots of other things to do in the area, too. We felt like the cottage was our Home away from home. The Victorian house is lovely and all the rooms are large and well appointed. Staying anywhere at Eagle Hill would be an enjoyable experience.

From the minute we arrived, until time to leave, we felt more as if we were visiting old friends than trying a new place. Jim and Bonnie Warner were the best hosts you could ever ask for! The breakfast was so much more than I expected! I have had "Kentucky Hot Browns" all over the state, but Bonnie's were absolutely the best! The Warner's have paid meticulous attention to detail in the restoration of this Victorian Manor. We are very interested in history and old homes, and Jim took the time to explain the history of Eagle Hill Manor, as well as the rest of this very historic town.

The Inn itself is spacious, luxurious, and very true to the Victorian period. The front porch is very relaxing; we actually opted to bring our dinner back to the inn one evening and eat out there. The only thing missing was the clop, clop of horse and buggy going past the house. We had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable anniversaries ever, and will DEFINITELY be back!

We were in Kentucky for the week to bring our daughter back to her Mom and I wanted to plan a surprise trip for my husband. Between the 2 of us, we have 4 kids and have not been alone since he came on in March from Iraq. Mr. Warner was an awesome host and catered to our wants and needs. It was a very quiet and clean place. The breakfast was alot more than we thought. It was so big, we didn't have to eat lunch...LOL I would recommend any one and everyone to stay here. It's alot better than staying in a hotel. We had such a great time here, we didn't want to leave to go back home to Texas. He and I will make a tradition out of staying here any and every chance we get! The only thing missing was, we didn't get the chance to meet Mrs. Warner, she was on a church trip but we will be back to meet her! GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!
