“Very famous Irish Pub from the Guinness TV Advertisement”
Review of James O'Connell

Reviewed 3 weeks ago

O'Connell's pub on the hill of Skryne is a step back in time and one of the best known old fashioned pubs in Leinster and County Meath.

It goes by many names to locals including, J. O'Connells', O'Connells, Mrs O's, Yankee's, Yankee O'Connell's. It has featured on TV in the now famous Guinness Christmas add in the snow. This pub has not changed in over a hundred years, no music, no TV graces its wall's, just good old fashioned hospitality, a warm welcome and a delightful place for beer with friends.

As the pub is very small it can get packed at peak times, but don't let that put you off, there is always a friendly smile and a seat inside or out to be found.
If you decide to visit the nearby attractions on the Hill of Tara or Skryne Castle, then a drink in O'Connell's on the way home is a must do item !!!
You won't be disappointed.
