This was our 4th visit to Gillhams Fishing Resorts and every time we think it cannot be better than the last visit, but it always is!!!
This visit, my wife and I went travelled with both sets of our parents to celebrate some big birthdays in the family, so the men fished while the women relaxed around the pool etc, it was perfect for everyone.
As always the fishing guides went above and beyond to make this the best fishing experience ever. The fishing is out of this world, i dont believe there is anything that can get close to what Gillhams offers.
The food was great, the location is picture perfect and the fish size and species will blow you away.
If you like fishing (or even if you dont!) you will have the holiday of a lifetime at Gillhams.

This is a great place to stay for the keen angler or simply a place to base yourself for your trips in and around thailand

The fishing is out of this world, but understood you need to have some skill to catch the biggest freshwater fish in the world.

Food was good and rooms were nice and clean, but this is not the main purpose to stay here - it is all about fishing.

We got all the help we needed, and even more. Food and drinks were ordered and brought to us.

We will most definitely recommend this to everyone.

Thank you to the team at gillhams ! Good job

This is a great place to stay. The fishing is out of this world, and all the nice people that work here! Best of all, Jut who understood sibling rivalry and helped both our daughter and son to get fish, however with no guarantee :). Food was good and rooms were ok, but this is not the main purpose to stay here - it is all about fishing. We got all the help we needed, and even more. Food and drinks were ordered and brought to us. The pool was fantastic, and even the turtle George was great.

We will most definitely recommend this to everyone we know!

We spent two days at Gillhams last week on day visits and had a great time, my other half is a keen Carp Angler and it actually made his holiday catching Siamese Carp and a big old Mekong Catfish! The lake is beautiful and well made and I was more than happy sitting there all day not fishing and just relaxing with my kindle and a drink!! They also have a nice pool area for fisherman's wives who would rather relax by the pool.... (I was on photo-taking patrol) Becky, Jut, Sean, Rob, Stuart and Chris (as well as other staff) were all very friendly, accommodating and helpful... they made you feel very comfortable!! You also don't have to leave your swim if you really are a keen angler, they'll bring food (English and Thai) and drinks to you on order so you can sit at the lake and have lunch and a beer! We will 100% be going back next year but will actually booking a room there for a longer stay rather than doing day trips... see you in 2014!!

Spent a week at Gillham's and wish I could have stayed longer. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with excellent AC. The view of the lake from the covered patio allowed me to watch the early morning fish activity while sipping my first cup of coffee. Meals at the restaurant were excellent with plenty of choices (English and Thai).
The amazing number of big fish species an angler may encounter is reason enough to spend time fishing at Gillham's. With world record fish in the lake and the exotic species present, fishing is a true adventure.
take an extra day and visit the nearby beaches. Some of the most beautiful in the world. The staff was happy to arrange for a taxi to and from my destination.

Just returned from a weeks fishing at Gillhams, this place must be seen to be believed. Set in lush tropical gardens with breathtaking views of the surrounding Lime Karsts. Staying in smart, clean and comfortable bungalows, morning views from your balcony of the sun rising and huge fishing rolling in the lake below are what dreams are made of.
The food is excellent and varied, the fishing likewise excellent and varied. With the help of experienced english speaking guides the fish of a lifetime is not far away. Even a beginner, under the watchful eye of the guides, can not only hook but land fish of immense power and weight.
Fish care here is second to none, the fish are fin perfect, the standard of care for guests is without doubt the same.

I have visited many fishing venues Worldwide and I must say this has to rank as one of the best I have visited and what marks this apart from others is that it is a place where you can come and fish but also bring your spouse or family and they would find trips or excursions to occupy them whilst you battle 48 species of predator fish not found in a single venue as far as I am aware anywhere on the planet, Being a novice to the style of coarse fishing applied here I was worried I would struggle but the Guides were so helpful I soon relaxed into this sitting and waiting for the bait alarm to buzz and then the inevitable scream of the reel and a huge run. Every fish was a challenge and a delight and the care taken over the fish by the guides is very impressive. I would say that this venue affords the ability for the inexperienced angler to come and catch the fish of a lifetime. The facilities are also what makes this venue a number one destination, the villas are perfectly placed for beautiful views of the lake and mountainous surroundings, a pool for cooling off and relaxing in the heat of the midday sun and a bar and resaturant that caters to every whim and taste, the choice of food is phenominal. There is also an onsite shop for everything from drinks, snacks and toiletries, fishing tackle and unlocked mobile phones. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and guides, even providing a taxi service to neighbouring Ao Nang the nearest large coastal town.
If you are in the vicinity of this resort then they even cater for a days fishing or longer with accomodation.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same and they all afford the same views, so all perfect.
