“SERVICE dog pooped?”
Reviewed 23 March 2013

We stayed here with our retired service dog. After leaving I got a call saying they charged my card $100 because our dog peed on the carpet and pooped on the towels. The dog had gotten sick in the night and puked - which we had cleaned up leaving only a small brown spot on the towel which would have come out in a wash. I have no idea what they're talking about withy the pee. In the last 9 years this dog has never once peed anywhere but outside. As a retired service dog, he is the epitome of behavior, yet the girl insisted the whole room reeked of feces and would have to be shut down.

I was charged for a lie because they had plausible deniability knowing I was already on the road and wouldn't turn around to fight them. This hotel is staffed by con artists waiting to steal from you.

Pulled in off the road on the first leg of a long drive and was fairly blown away by how nice this place was! It seems like you're in the middle of nowhere and you're not expecting much, but apparently this is a brand-new facility (it sits behind a sad and abandoned Comfort Inn). The decor was very modern and everything was sparkly clean. The desk clerk was super-nice, and my room was quiet and comfortable, just as requested. My only complaint was that you could not directly select a channel on the TV. There were a million cable channels but the only way to access them was by tediously pressing Channel Up or Down on the remote. This place was so nice I was almost sorry I only stayed one night!

We were driving overnight from Toledo, OH to Birmingham, AL and decided halfway that we needed to stop and sleep after all. We found this hotel and loved it! Now, I don't know why you would go to Carrollton, KY... But if you are, this is a great hotel. Great service, clean and cozy rooms with (most importantly) great service!

If I need to stop on the way back to the north, I'll stop here!

We stayed here in the past on a regular basis on our south to north travels when it was a Comfort Inn. Then it suddenly became another hotel and it was quite bad. Now, everything is back to normal. It's a Quality Inn - a step up from Comfort Inn - and it's all good again. The bedding is lovely, the breakfast fabulous, the shower is great with lots of water pressure and the rates are reasonable. We certainly are back as regulars on our travels from the south to the north.

Hotel was listed as recently remodeled. The man I talked to said that they had been remodeling for 6 months & still had some small projects to do. The public areas of the hotel looked nice. It is a 2 story hotel w/o an elevator. the bathroom in our room was pretty bad. the bottom of the tub was cracked & the towel bar had been ripped out of the surround. When we returned to the room from dinner, we found a cockroach crawling on top of one of the beds. figure if you see one there, there are probably thousands more. just stayed the night & left. It was close to Ky Speedway for the NASCAR races. Of course the advertised rate for race weekend was $275 + tax. We'll try to find other accommodations for next year.

I was in the area for the races on October 2-2011. When I first arrived, the night auditor kindly had to explain that because of new ownership they were no longer to able to honor our rate that had been quoted to us online. I understand that things like this happen and this girl was very apologetic and even called her manager to see what could be done. She also went on to explain that they had asked our online reservation company call us to explain the rate difference but no one ever contacted us. She also explained that as the internet reservations came across to their system, they did not have the contact information to contact us themselves or they would have done so. Obviously we were not the first guest that had be upset about the rate changes. She told us that we would have to call the internet reservation company to get our money back from them but they could put us in a room for the new rate, which we gladly took.

As you walked in they had fresh cookies and milk in the breakfast bar area that you could see as you walked in the door. The next morning the breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, fresh donuts, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice and milk. The night clerk was very pleasant and very accomodating to our needs and answered any questions we had.

The rooms were very well cleaned and quiet. We will definately stay in this hotel again when we come back for the races next year.

Room Tip: Contact the hotel for booking instead of using internet companies...sounds like they were having sev...

We had the exact same problem and Bait and Switch. We were there after the Nascar Truck Race and was late checking in. There was a long line and the poor young lady behind the desk should have called the owner and let him take all the heat....She could only do what she was told and she was told that if you allow and Priceline rates you are fired. What a deal. The owner needs to be turned over to the better business bureau. The walls in the hotel are very thin and don't get a bottom floor room unless knowone is on the second floor because you hear every step......Run from this hotel and any other hotel this owner has.

Room Tip: Go to a different HOTEL!!!!!!!!!
