Due to Jazz Festival on the last night of our stay in the Cincinnati, OH area, there was a lack of reasonably priced hotel rooms in the area. After a lot of research, we found the Hampton Inn Carrollton with great prices and room availability. What a pleasant surprise to arrive a a newly renovated property, clean, modern rooms, and staff that offerred A+ hospitality. I would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to/thru this area. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and very nicely displayed.

Certainly better than the Nashville area, we have stayed here two times. It's rather a small Hampton Inn in Carrollton KY., maybe 60 rooms, but with Very friendly and helpful employees. Breakfast was good. Lots of choices (only I can mess up a waffle maker) Loved the carpet. Its Neat! With good directions (thank you) we drove down town to the River and ate at the Down on Main Street Restaurant. Visited a winery at the top of a Mountain.(hill) Awesome ! And headed home to Alabama. We'd stay there again.

Room Tip: We've stayed on the 2nd floor each time we have stayed at this Hampton. Exit doors are noisy. But aren't they all?

We are frequent Hampton Inn visitors, and this is the first time I've entered a less than excellent review. We were returning from family visits in TN and needed a place to stay between Nashville and Cleveland, OH. When we arrived, the entrance to the hotel was taped off. We "assumed" that the drive through surfacing had been redone, but there was no sign indicating out we were to enter the hotel. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating, which I was grateful for. We checked out the pool and were told by other guests that it was really cold. The pool appeared to be clean, but the deck did not look very appealing - rather dirty, and the lights were mostly turned off, even though it was approximately 9:30 pm. The room was neat and clean, as we are accustomed to in most all Hampton Inns.
The next morning, the breakfast experience was probably the most disappointing. The seating area designated for breakfast was much too small to accommodate the number of guest who were attempting to eat. The breakfast selections were few and some were completely gone, even though there was about an hour of breakfast time remaining. We are not at all soured on Hampton Inn visits, but will probably choose a different Hampton when traveling Interstate 71 in the Kentucky.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room...nice hotel employees...MANY TV stations...decent hot breakfast bar..fresh coffee available at all times in lobby....very wide hallways.

We have no problem staying here again...many restaurants within walking distance...state park just down the road...hotel right off the interstate exit...appeared to be a safe location....many other businesses in this area.

Excellent hotel. We stopped here on our way home from vacation & it was great. Fairly busy, but staff was super friendly & helpful. Room was clean & nicely furnished. Beds were very comfy. Bathroom was also clean & very nice. Indoor heated pool was excellent - crystal blue water. Even had a lift chair for those who couldn't use the stairs or ladders. Several groups of very nice patio sets around the pool too. Breakfast was good. Good selection. Everything was fresh & staff was constantly restocking. The hallway was really warm, but it didn't bother us. I would definitely stay here again.
