Have stayed at this property on prior visits but this visit will be the last. First of all, lighted sign outside said $39.95, but we were told that the rate had increased and they weren't able to change the sign. The next morning we noticed a paper banner taped across the "Days Inn" sign that said $39.95 also. Apparently they couldn't get that paper down either...So we paid $42.95 plus tax which, on its own, seemed fair. Once we got to the room to check it we found one of the beds had what looked like grated parmesan cheese evenly distributed all around between the sheets. It later turned out to be (what I think was) skin sheddings, along with a big blood spot. We were repulsed. Upon alerting the front desk we were assigned another room, which had all of the TV wires hanging all over the dresser. When I attempted to move the wires the TV would shut off. When we tried to take a shower, we found that a water saver showerhead had been installed that hardly emitted enough water to take a shower. The stream was very, very weak.
Next morning at breakfast we were searching for a little protein but alas, all we could find was the little previously frozen danishes, about 5 slices of the cheapest white bread available at a discount store, and the remnant of a micowave sausage biscuit. Packages of off-brand jelly and cream cheese were available to spread on your white bread, sorry, no peanut butter. While we tried to make a breakfast out of this we had a hard time hearing the morning news because of its very low volume and the ownership sitting beside us having some sort of a meeting and speaking very loud Indian dialect while shooting dirty looks our way each time we went up to get something off of the breakfast bar. As we sat there I looked out to see one of the hotels primairy outdoor stairways unuseable and wrapped in yellow "caution" tape. It's obvious that the owners of this property are willing to let it just run down to a filthy little hole. Trying to trick people out of a few bucks here and there and throwing in what they believe is just enough of the advertised minimum breakfast to satisfy franchise requirements. If you had seen what I saw when I turned back that bedspread you would say what I am currently shouting, NEVER AGAIN!
