I've seen photos of these wigwam villages throughout my childhood and early adult years. Never really knew if they were real or fictional. How excited I was when I discovered not only that they were real, but that I could visit one during a recent trip to Kentucky!
They get five stars for uniqueness and nostalgia. It's like a time warp back 50 years. My wigwam was relatively well kept, considering the age and unconventional features that are not easily replaced or updated. Bathroom, while very clean, was definitely dated. And there's no question you will be roughing it a little bit. But hey, if I wanted top of the line accommodations, I would have stayed at a Hilton in Louisville. This place is all about the ambiance and atmosphere. If you enjoy off-the-beaten-path and one-of-a-kind experiences, this is your place. Live a little and check this place out. How often do you get a chance to sleep in a wigwam?More
