After experiencing a very bad stay with another so called 5 star hotel near cochin airport, my 2 nights stay with Ramada Cochin was awesome.

The hotel is well maintained...Staff are enthusiastic to serve their best. The ambience and surroundings were simply majestic.

Though it was off peak season, maintenance was going on.

My special mention to the ever smiling charming Junior Duty Manager Sabija....It will not be fair if I do not mention her in my review .She went great lengths to arrange shopping trips and also plan the itinerary. She arranged for a very experienced and patient driver.

Room Tip: I would recommend without hesitation, Ramada Cochin,to any traveler solo or groups. Rajen.K Sin...

The cottage rooms are splendid, and I was glad to have one, with the balcony facing the sea so that even an entire lazy rainy day (between the two nights) was "enjoyable"! and the room design is exquisite, with the wooden floor, all the lights (including greenish glass wall behind the bed), glass shower etc.
The staff is very friendly and polite, especially in the restaurant, and the dinner was excellent!
Only there were a few issues about room service and money: the menu book was missing in my room when i arrived late and it took me about half an hour to try out all the light switches (which can be fun -but not when you are dead tired) and searching the whole room for the book which was not there. Finally when I got one and ordered a couple of things (a bottle of cava and a massage, each of them was 500 more than it said in the book, sometimes plus tax). that is not a lot but not nice of Ramada, neither was the charging for a coffee stain on a hand towel (225). These amount are ridiculously small compared to room price and i was just not impressed with the situation.
Otherwise: totally worth it! and the most stunning location of its type and class in & around Kochin.
Very stylish, and very luxurious, very popular with foreigners and Indians alike - though for my taste a bit secluded from the country.

Room Tip: The cottage rooms with balcony are marvellous, the normal rooms don't have a window that you cou...

Dear Mr. Manon,

Namaskaram ! !

Thank you for taking your time out to write a review.
We had feedbacks from guests regarding the control panel and we are changing them to a more user friendly one as soon as possible. I regret that the menu was not placed in your room.

We mention plus taxes, because in Kerala, the Govt reduces the taxes in the off season , so we pass on the benefit to the guests.

Stayed there for a day. Services were amazing, as expected from Ramada. Food at Ramada was really delicious. i stayed in room 106 which had a perfect view of pool and lake.

Its a perfect place to stay who love to spend more time in pool. The pool in Ramada Kochi is huge.

would suggest room number 106/107/108 for good view.

Room Tip: Lake facing room - 106, 107 or 108.

After our wedding duties and visiting family were completed in Gujarat we needed to relax so we booked this trip to relax and eat some great food and make use of the Spa.

The Hotel staff were very good and we were checked in and taken our rooms which were excellent. We really enjoyed the food at the hotel and there was a good selection.

Following day Ranjeet sorted out our excursions which were fabulous.

The museum church and spice market was fun and we tried some great Prawns and Fish at the local restaurants.
Tip when getting prawns don't buy the really big ones small ones taste better.

I would recommend the Boat trip it was a great day and reasonably priced with our own boat chef and crew we even stopped for some toddy and prawns. Remember to take your own beer.

Special thanks to Ranjeet and his team for a memeorable stay our girls still talk about it and keep asking if we are going again.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the Pool and Lake 112 was very good

We stayed 1 night to escape the bustle of the city on my annual vacation from Oman. You cant ask for better place to relax than here to have a resting holiday in Kochi. Rooms were great with balcony and lake views. Swimming pool is large. Since it was monsoon there wasnt much crowd.Breakfast was excellent ,there was so much variety. My teenage son was rolling on the bed saying saying it felt so good! Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Choose rooms facing lake, much more beautiful.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Feel the silence of the shores Ramada Resort is a poem. Written on the banks of a tranquil lake. You find the island of silence just 17 km from Kochi, Kerala's metropolis, and 2 km from a busy national highway. The Kumbalam backwaters is part of the famed Vembanad Lake. As the gates open, a sudden change in landscape, a riot of greenery, and silence, greet you. A harmonious mix of exhibitive desert trees and the natural flora of Kerala instil in you the same feeling you experience while watching your child take its first steps: excitement! Pass through the front office that exudes the Keralan hospitality, laced with the professionalism of Ramada, and walk into one of those 24 pool-facing villas. The long walk itself is a refreshing change, compared with boxing oneself into the usual elevator. The greenery soothes the nerves of even a weary traveller. You have started experiencing the space. And silence. Oh! Its space everywhere. Spread across 7 acres of land, Ramada Resort has only 42 living spaces. You would perhaps enjoy the largest per capita space on a resort in Kerala! Before stepping into your room, you find the ground floor is just floor, and not a room! Your kids may want to stay back and play. Let them, and you allow yourself into your cottage. In the super luxury of the room, you will come across the best amenities. Open the glass door and step into the balcony. The meandering pool stretches itself to 110 metres in front of you. Its waters almost touch the lake, which touches the eastern horizon for sure. The enormous expanse of the backwater, lined with coconut trees, will make you feel the thrill of floating freely on a ship's deck, a la Jack and Rose. It's a play of water, mixed with serenity. You feel engulfed by infinity. Almost. In the morning, the sun rising from across the waters will greet you on the balcony. You may feel like doing a sun-salutation, the most beneficial yoga posture. The fisherman in his canoe rowing against the myriad hues of morning sun will be a picture postcard scene that reminds you of the painting competition in your school days. In the evening, the reflections of the setting sun on the serene waters would take you to the empire of silence. The water, layers and layers of it, may tempt you to try some water therapy. Walk into the spa, Kerala's largest. It offers more than 25 varieties of herbal and western massages. Treat yourself to foot reflexology and leave the seat with every organ in your body relaxed. Or try Thai massage. Or Balinese. Treat your senses to the aroma of freshly fried seafood. With your stomach directing you towards the restaurant, the turn in the corridor next to it opens up suddenly into an empty expanse of greenery. The deja vu feeling of having one's own extra space suddenly overpowers the unassuming traveller. It takes some time to adjust to this heavenly feeling and finally when lunch is served, you realise even time has no boundaries in this part of the world and stands still. ... more   less
