We stopped in while we were in the area. I would not make this a planned stop, but it was a nice way to kill a little time. The first KFC with a museum area. We sopent less than an hour here and saw everything we needed to see,

This is just a quick shot off I-75 for you weary or hungry travelers. I didn't have high hopes for this place, but there was a certain charm to being able to eat in the actual, original KFC location. As other commenters have said, this place consists of a regular KFC attached to the original location. There are a few museum display cases and some recreations of an old hotel room, original kitchen, and a few other items including a white suit on display that belonged to the Colonel himself. The museum display content is actually quite interesting. This isn't an all-day activity, but it is certainly an interesting stop. Plan for 20-30 minutes here, or about 45 minutes if you plan on eating.

this took me back to my child hood and favorite chicken place. The parking lot is large for campers or buses. Museum is nice and of course the famous Colonels Chicken and more

Great service! It was fun to eat among the relics. Food was typical KFC, but better- hot and moist chicken. After eating we closely inspected the displays and of course had a photo on the bench with the Colonel. Glad we took a small detour to experience the original restaurant.
