We held a family reunion at the Marriott Cincinnati at RiverCenter in mid June. The hotel is a large one, and worked for our larger group. It's location just across the river from downtown Cincinnati was great for trips to the Newport Aquarium or to see the Reds play at the Great American Ballpark. Friday night a fireworks display after the baseball game was visible from our hotel window, and kind of a treat. And one of the families in our group took The Presidential Suite, which made a great venue for a cocktail reception. It is on a high floor with a great view of river, city and both the Reds and Bengals stadiums (stadia?). We enjoyed exploring nearby Covington, KY, particularly finding our way to a great restaurant within walking distance of the hotel called Otto's that we'd highly recommend. Service at the Marriott was consistent and met all our expectations.

We stayed here June 20-22. Had no problems, had 3rd floor room on the side, but still had view of river. Room was nice, clean, lots of towels, strong water pressure, coffeemaker in room, ice machine around the corner. Was a bit noisy since the atrium was right outside our door but it didn't last long at night. Was some noise in the a.m. and we were trying to sleep in but luckily lots of pillows were supplied and one over my head did the trick! The elevators were a bit of a pain to take one to the lobby but then another one to get to street level. We took the stairs when we left and only used the elevators coming back up to our room. We parked next door and was $8.00 per 24 hours. since we arrived friday at 6:00 p.m. and left Sunday around 4 p.m.the cost was only $16.00. We were there for Reds games and walked over the bridge - about 15 mins or so. If you go to Reds game you can take in unopened water bottles and small unopened snacks. You can buy cold water outside from lots of vendors for $1.00. In the ball park they are $4.50. We went to the casino using the $1.00 trolley to get us close enough to walk the rest of the way since is uphill to get there. We walked back to the hotel and it took maybe 40 mins at the most and was downhill :). Easy to find your way around and the people were friendly. Thinking about returning for football season since the stadium is also right across the bridge. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Have no complainants at all.

Our family stayed here while attending a Reds game over Memorial Day. The room was very clean and had a great view of the river and the stadiums on the other side. We had a nice little walk to the stadium for the game. We got breakfast as part of our package and the buffet was in great shape even though we didn't get there until nearly 10:00. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A little costly for parking. I could see it being loud if an event was going on in the atrium because everything does open up to there from above, but we turned the air conditioner on and had no problems with noise.

Room Tip: Higher is better because of open atrium.

I stayed here one night on business. It was a standard hotel with a great view. Clean, convenient to Cincinnati and friendly staff. Since I arrived late I didn't order food/visit the other amenities but was happy nonetheless.

Stayed here for 2 nights and loved the hotel. The atrium is beautiful once you get inside and the rooms have an amazing view of Cincinnati. The king sized bed was very comfortable and the room itself was nice and clean. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful explaining to us the shuttle, conveniently located across the street, and the parking situation.
Two small complaints, first of which is the layout of the actual hotel. You need to switch elevators to go from the room to the lobby, and the lobby to either the parking garage or street level. Even stranger it took THREE separate elevators to get to the pool. While you get used to it, the layout is very confusing during the first day at check-in.
Only other small complaint was the pool. Aside from the maze we finished getting there, the pool itself was ice cold while the room was unbearably humid.

Layout aside, we loved our stay at this hotel and will definitely be back if we're in the area. Would recommend the hotel to everyone.

This is one of the older Marriott properties and it looks it. The rooms are on the smaller sides. This doesn't bother me but the small bathroom and shower is annoying. Being tall brings the size of the bathroom a priority. The room was comfortable and clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Dear drpoirier,

Thank you so much for electing to stay with us during your visit to Cincinnati!

We appreciate your feedback regarding your experience. I will pass along your kind comments regarding the staff and the room being clean and comfortable. The team really enjoy hearing from our guests!

Please accept my apologies regarding the size of the bathroom. I am fairly tall myself and can understand that it can be frustrating trying to maneuver in an area that is smaller than what we are used to. If you are in our area again perhaps you can request an accessible room that have a much larger bath area.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Stayed here for 3 nights for vacation. Very convenient location across the river from Cincinnati. Easy to get to nearby bridges for access to downtown. Also not far from the Newport entertainment complex. Room was spacious and clean. Had a partial-view of the river and baseball stadium. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Although the hotel was booked the weekend I stayed, it was very quiet. Did not try room service or the restaurant/bar. The only negative is that you can't get the local Reds baseball games on your TV in the room. Was told to go to the bar to watch the games.

Room Tip: Ask for a river-view room if possible.
