Wasn't quite sure what to expect from a safari themed Hotel in the Hunter, but all the reviews were raving, and they were right.
Our room was tastefully decorated and clean, our host Jude greeted us on arrival and was lovely and helpful, and made us the most amazing breakfast in the morning, which was served to us in the beautifully sunny courtyard. All the other hotels supplied a cold continental breakfast, but Jude cooked us poached eggs with bacon and avocado, not to mention fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, toast. It was delicious.
I though the location might be a little out of the way, but it only took us 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to get to Vineyards.
Would definitely recommend the Table, it was clean, warm, very hospitable, and about the half the price of anywhere else in the area. Best kept secret in the Hunter.

This is the very best B&B we have ever stayted at. The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. The real stand out attraction at this place are the hosts. Jude and Phil are the consumate hosts, catering for every possible guest need. They turn guests into friends. You will want to go back to this B&B time after time. We loved it, and will recommend it to everyone we know. Les and Dona Howard

Room Tip: The 'Lion' room is the best.

What a wonderful place to spend time with a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion as we did this weekend or a quiet escape with a loved one. The bedrooms were lovely, great showers in the bathroom, . Breakfast was scrumptiously cooked by our host Jude and dinner on Saturday night was 5 star. Were delighted when our hosts Phil and Jude sat and enjoyed a glass of wine with us after dinner. Will definitely be back for a quiet getaway with my husband as soon as we get back from the USA. Only negative was when my husband went to watch TV, he couldn't find any stations, didn't worry him too much because we were here to spend as much time as we could with our friends, but normally he would've been annoyed if he couldn't watch the footie.

Room Tip: Cottages in the garden looked lovely. All the rooms were terrific, rooms inside are upstairs.

My first B&B experience was a pleasurable one thanks to Jude and Phil's hospitality. They are both warm and considerate and it was a pleasure to meet them and we thank them for looking after us. We unfortunately didn't get to treat ourselves to Jude's wonderful cooking that we had heard about, however Phil's banana pancakes were almost as good as my Grandmothers!! Thanks again

Having never been to the Hunter before, she was very helpful with tips and places to visit which made our weekend so much more enjoyable. Thanks for an awesome long weekend (June 2012)!

Our 6th time at the hunter valley and we like this accom the best! Excellent host, room and breakfast! Not far from the nearest vineyard. Easy drive. Awesome experience all in all! And we love the African theme as it reminds us of the safari at port Elizabeth!

We stayed 2 nights at The Table in February and enjoyed a friendly welcome. Jude's local tips made our visits to the Wineries more selective and we especially valued the recommendation for Ridgeview restaurant which was as good as described.
We had a substantial evening meal on our first night and breakfasts were also more than adequate with hot dishes cooked to request.
The elephant room was comfortable and made more special by the shady verandah outside.
If we are ever back in the region we would be very happy to stay here again.
