“cheap boat rentals”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

We stayed in Elizabethtown on the way to Mammoth Cave National Park. The park is cute, but not worth a trip here unless you happen to already be in town. There was a replica of a log cabin, an old school house, lots of picnic tables, and a lake. Boat rental was $2/hour for a row boat and $5/hour for a paddle boat. You can also fish and bring your own boat. I enjoyed boating here.

“Relaxing beauty!”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

More than just a park, Freeman Lake has paddle boats, several play grounds, beautiful new tennis courts, and a 5-mile trail that goes all around the 170 acre man-made lake. If you like history, there is some of that as well; 3 hiistoric buildings grace a portion of the park near the lake shore. Up by the largest of the picnic pavilions, Williams Pavillion, is an 18 hole disk golf course. Our family has enjoyed Freeman Lake many times. It's one of the best things Elizabethtown has to offer.

“Clean Ducks Ducks & more Ducks”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

Well maintained If you like to feed ducks this is the place. You can purchase a one day fishing license to fish from bank or rent a paddle boat. Large boat motors are not allowed. Great place for picnic and reunions. The local Heartland Festival is held here in mid August. Great family environment.

“Tennis heavan”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

You are probably not going to find a nicer tennis complex in this region. The park is spread out so that you do not feel crowded and there is plenty of shaded areas to go around.
The playground areas could be better as the slides and swings are mainly for 5 year olds and younger.
Large lake that had lots of geese and ducks.
