We stayed here with several other families for a family reunion for four nights, five days. The condos (houses) were very nice. We had a 4 bdrm 4.5 bath, full kitchen with even a crock pot and mixer supplied, dishwasher, trash compactor, microwave, and all appliances. Lots of pots, pans, cooking sheets. I am not sure if all units are stocked the same but ours was very nice. The pantry even had a lot of basics, but we had all our own. Plenty of paper towels and TP, usually an oversight at most places we stay. They even had adog crate and dog bowls, but we had our own. The 1 bedroom was clean and even the carpet looked new. We rented a golf cart, which we had to trade in the next day, as it was not running well, but they exchanged happily. We walked everywhere with the dogs, but the kids had fun with the golf carts. You can take the golf cart into town for ice cream! Check out the 100s of turtles that come for bread around 6pm each evening below the Yacht club restaurant walk way, right next to the check-in office. The Ship store was cute, lots of souvenirs to choose from, and reasonably priced. We tried all the pools, all very nice and clean. The one pool just up from the office does not have stairs, odd, just ladders into 3ft for starters, which could be difficult for older adults. The Jade Spa & indoor pool was very nice. We did Aqua Zumba at the indoor pool for fun, a full hour of professional Zumba, who would have guessed in the middle of KY lake area! The weight, yoga, and classes are all free for guest staying at the resort, and they have about 3 different classes a day. They also have up to date equipment for a quick workout, free also for guests. We did not try the two restaurants on the grounds, as we ate at Patti's one night, and cooked the rest, just easier with lots of family. We did peek at the menus, the prices were OK, about $11 for a basic breakfast or sandwich. Free Wi-Fi too. Nice Bose system for the Ipod, Iphone! We would return again in a heartbeat. BUT beware of the boat rentals, they are not affiliated with Green Turtle, they are a separate entity but on the same grounds, WaterWay rentals. I would rent at KY Dam marina in Gilbertsville, the next closest place for boat rentals to this resort, about 15 minutes. We had rented a fishing boat for 3 days and a pontoon for one day, and we were taken care of after a bit of complaining that should not have been necessary, hate to bring that in to the mix when you are trying to have a good time.... Oh, the beach area on the grounds is pretty yucky, as lots of dead Asian carp floating in the water and stinky, so boat out away from the bank if you can, keeps away the stink from the dead carp. Those Asian carp will be a nuisance at any resort, so nothing Green Turtle Bay can do about that!
