“The most beautiful place I've every been to.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2013 via mobile

This place is a must go see if your every in the Cape May area. The sand is soft but with rocks and cape may diamonds mixed in. The gift shops are really cute that sell a different variety of items. During the summer time they have a flag ceremony for all veterans I hope to one day have one for my grandfather who recently passed. If your ever in the area put this on your list of places to see, its a must and your won't be disappointed.

“Cape May Diamonds, the Sunken Concrete Ship and One Special Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013 via mobile

Love this spot - as a child I sifted through the sand to hopefully find a Cape May Diamond to polish & looked out to the sunken SS Atlantus. It's been built up a little since then (there is now mini golf for example), but the charm remains. I still love to check out the view & browse in the gift shops, then walk over to the WWII lookout tower. It's definitely one of the spots that makes Cape May so special and memorable.

“Must do!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

Done this the past two summers..Its so nice! I'd get there 45 minutes before sunset begins, so you don't have to park as far..We take beach chairs and a cooler and some wine..People just hanging out on the beach until the ceremony starts--which is a few patriotic tunes over the loudspeakers and then the veterans flag lowering ceremony while the sun sets into the bay..Very peaceful..

“Best sunsets”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013 via mobile

It isn't called Sunset Beach for nothing. Beautiful sunsets as well as great flag lowering ceremony. Stores are one of a kind. Only fly in the ointment is many mosquitoes! They have spray but if you are like me you don't want that stuff on your skin. Hopefully in the future they can do something about it because the course is good.

“Favorite spot in Cape May!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

A nice, small quiet beach just past the Cape May Lighthouse. 3 little shops and a cafe, with food and ice cream and a deck with tables and chairs. There is a reason it's called Sunset Beach, the sunsets there are beautiful! The beach is mainly pebbles, so bring a shovel and sifter to look for Cape May Diamonds!
