“This is a must visit, especially with young kids!”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

I am glad I discovered this place as it was pretty cool. We stayed in Wildwood and it was about a 15 minute drive from there. It is a beach, but Im not sure you would want to take a dip in the water. There are a few reasons to visit this place.

1. The sunset view
- The view of sunsetting is awesome from this beach. There is plenty of beach to find an area be semi away from other people. This is a must do if in the area.

2. SS Atlantus
- The item, in my opinion, that makes this sunset location better than others is that there is a sunken ship a couple hundred yards out in the water. The ship is broken in half and makes for a much more dramatic sunset view. If you are into grabbing good pictures then this is the place you want to be at sunset.

3. The rocks and Cape May Diamonds
- If you have little ones then this beach will keep them busy for hours. Tons and tons of different kinds of rocks wash ashore here and it is a lot of fun looking for cool rocks to bring home. The coolest part is what they call Cape May Diamonds. I believe it is quartz that breaks off from the Delaware River and it washed ashore here due to the ship. These are the hardest to find on the beach, but once again will keep your little busy as you take pictures of the sunset.

This is a must do for couples, families, or solo. This is a one of kind sunset location full of different things to do.

“Worth a stop!”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

It was May 8th, hardly anyone on the beach observing the sun setting over the water. We searched with our kids for Cape May Diamonds, and then took in the sunset. The Grille wasn't open yet, so we ended up a little hungry, wishing we brought a pizza like some others. A great view of the SS Atlantus as well, still sticking up out of the water. We saw some dolphins swim by. We arrived around 3:30, thinking we would stay just a couple hours, but ended up staying through the sunset! Bring a chair, or sit out on the rocks. I'm not sure how busy this is during the peak season, but in the offseason, I would recommend fitting it in with the rest of a trip to Cape May Point attractions such as the Lighthouse and Bird Sanctuary!

“A wonderful stop on your journey in New Jersey”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

I've been very fortunate to enjoy this spot for many years. My family and I have grown up having lunch at the shack and watching dolphin play in the surf. Amazing sunsets in the evening while saluting fallen service men and woman at sunset during the summer. The view is incredible and the location is pure unspoiled New Jersey. While there go into Cape May, You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

“Exit 0 - the last exit of the Jersey Freeway”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

Its November and we were the only couple walking the beach at sunset. About 8 cars had occupants watching like a drive in movie! Get out of your car, look for some Cape May Diamonds all around the beach, they are the translucent (when wet) mixed with smaller stones of all colors. What an inexpensive memento of your Cape May visit.

In late November sunset is over by 5pm.

“Relaxing Sunset”
Reviewed 26 October 2013

Though it was a bit cold and the wind was blowing, the sunset was just wonderful. We arrived around 5:30 for 6:00 sunset and strolled the beach and talked with others while we waited. It was beautiful and just a wonderful way to end the day. It is a short drive from the history area of Cape May.
