Snug Hollow Farm Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 3 Irvine B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 4 May 2009

We have visited the farm several times in the past two years. I have never been to a B&B as great as Snug Hollow. Barbara, the innkeeper, is an above and beyond hostess. If you want to travel off the farm you are very close to Berea and Irvine, great little towns in Ky. If you need a place to totally relax you have to plan a trip to Snug Hollow. The breakfast and dinners are excellant too.

We went to Snug Hollow for Valentine's Day. We arrived on Friday and was met by this lady named Barb (the owner) at the front porch of this wonderful home. She is very friendly and inviting. She seems to be such a kindred spirit. She is such a great cook. We left there on Sunday afternoon and came home with a sense of peace in our hearts. The entire weekend was very relaxing and wonderful. We stayed in the cabin which use to be her homestead. We had such a wonderful weekend and enjoyed being with the other guest at the main house and then loved being able to retire by ourselves to our own place.

As the name says, this is indeed an awesome bed and breakfast located in a snug hollow. South of Lexington, KY and a little east of the unique town of Berea, Snug Hollow Farm Bed and Breakfast is a place to allow yourself to step back in time and think about the slower paced lives of our ancestors. Barbara's website displays only the beginning of a wonderful experience you're going to have when you choose to stay with her.

Winding your way up the private drive, you'll quickly know you are deep in rural Kentucky. You'll know you're there when you pass her log cabin, located just below her log home. Both offer sleeping accommodations. The atmosphere in and all around Snug Hollow Farm B and B is quiet, serene, and charming. The panoramic views of the hills are awesome.

Each bedroom is unique unto itself. Each varies in size number of beds.

Your breakfast is delicious, filling and accommodating to your dietary needs. Unique dinners can be provided by arrangement. The dining room atmosphere cannot be beat; and you'll enjoy the conversations that develop with other guests.

Be sure to plan a long enough visit to this area to 'set a spell' and really appreciate the hospitality and warmth your host provides. Each of the spacious living rooms welcomes you to sit down and relax. A well-stocked library solicits you to spend some quiet time reading. You can also opt to wander the property on the many paths. You'll be surprised at what each turn reveals.

If you're new to staying at bed and breakfasts, this one will "set the standard." If you're an experienced B&B partaker, you'll add Snug Hollow Farm to your list of "best in category." Our visit was in the fall of 2006 allowing us to enjoy a cozy wood stove fire.

I recommend that you make your reservation live with Barbara to assure that you reserve the room that meets your family's needs.
