Stayed here for 2 nights during a business trip.
Comfortable location, with a nice bar. Upon arrival 3 people were providing live accordion music. It all had an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food is good, breakfast was great.
Price value ratio is extremely good here.

Why still only 4 points?
- Could not find wifi (did not ask for it either)
- Bathroom (room6), although very clean, needs some TLC (ceiling needs some repair, and the sink has, as is normal in the UK, 2 separate taps for hat and cold water) I am sure this can be fixed easily.

Thank you for your kind review although it's a shame you only gave us 4 points ................... even though you thought our food and breakfast were great. The three local accordionists perform in the Lantern Bar every Tuesday throughout winter 8:30 to 9:30pm.
Free wifi is available throughout our hotel (just ask any staff member for the logon & password) and we think we will continue with having separate hot & cold taps in sinks, because that's what most guests prefer.
Hope to see you back again soon and then, maybe, we can get the 5th point?

My wife and I just spent 2 nights here on their "Theatre Break - B&B with dinner on 1 evening. The hotel is very welcoming; all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had no problems booking a taxi to and from the Theatre in Malvern and obtaining fresh milk for our room as well as extra Earl Grey tea bags. The dinner we had was excellent, some very delicious food well presented. The restaurant was nearly empty on the Thursday evening and so lacking in atmosphere, but the bar with warming fire was great for aperitifs and we played cribbage in the lounge while sipping our liqueur coffees after the meal. Our room was smallish but the bed was 5' and comfortable. Although the room was at the front the road noise was not obtrusive. Breakfasts were more than adequate. We would happily return!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back or side are probably a bit quieter than ones at the front.

Thank you for your kind review and we are very pleased to hear you enjoyed you stay with us, coupled with the delights of Malvern Theatres.

Our theatre breaks are becoming very popular now and join our list of Morgan and Land Rover breaks to provide an excellent couple of days in glorious rural England.

We stayed here under a 2-night deal which included B&B for two nights and one 3-course dinner. We had a comfortable room overlooking the main road through the village, but it was very quiet with intermittent traffic noise. Tea & coffee were provided in the room with a card saying fresh milk was available on request....which was delivered very promptly and charmingly....a couple of tasty homemade shortbread biscuits was also provided. We had drinks in the bar (served with a small amuse bouche) and chose from a varied menu which we ate in the dining room. There was only one other couple eating there so there was a lack of atmosphere (not the Hotel's fault!) but the service was excellent. I had a starter of chicken breast with quail's eggs and a mustard roulade followed by pork chop with mashed potato, cabbage with lardons, green beans, apricot & walnut stuffing served with red wine jus. Dessert was port poached figs with cinnamon dumplings and vanilla mascarpone & port jus...delicious!! The whole meal was well presented, generous, and flavoursome...well worth a dining-in choice. My husband's meal was equally good. We took our "floater" coffees in the lounge, played a game of crib & nibbled on the excellent selection of homemade petit fours accompanying the coffee. Breakfast was the usual selection of cereals, fruits, cooked bacon, eggs etc ...perfectly adequate for all appetites. The hotel was comfortable with a couple of sitting rooms. All the staff were pleasant, friendly & very helpful in all areas...a taxi was arranged to ferry us to & from The Malvern Theatres by the receptionist. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the experience to others.

This was part of my husbands 60th birthday present as the Colwall Park has a package that includes the use of a Morgan for a day. Our room was superb with champagne and chocolates waiting for him, we decided to eat in the bar the first evening (Sunday) as it was cosy with an open fire and nice atmosphere. It was good that we did have options from the main award wining restaurant as well as the smaller menu. The food and wine were excellent, the only pity was that by 9pm we were the only people left in the bar, but that is not the hotels fault. The Morgan day was exceptional my husband loved every moment driving around the Malvern hills in an open topped car on a beautiful November day, I had a pretty fantastic day too. We did decided not to eat in the bar that night preferring to go somewhere a little more lively, with hindsight after a long day not a wise decision, we should have gone for the bar again.

Room Tip: Room 1 is wonderful very large with some views of the Malvern Hills but is overlooked by the apartme...

Thank you for your kind review and we're glad you enjoyed our hotel and the Morgan sports car day.
Now that winter is here you should try our Land Rover Experience package that includes the hills, streams and mud of nearby Eastnor Castle, where the original Land Rover was developed and is still used to develop all new Land Rovers. See our package details on line at: -

We came here for the start of our honeymoon, we came here for our fifth anniversary, we've come here for an in-between anniversaries trip. The food has always been thoughtful, well presented and flavoursome. The staff are friendly and sincere. We have now stayed in three different rooms, all of which have been clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. A truly lovely hotel and dining experience.

Stopped for a drink after walking our dog in the hills. We were surprised to see that not only were dogs not allowed in the bar- but they were banned from the garden as well.

Quite surprising for an area that attracts people with dogs. Went to The Chase pub instead where our dog was not only welcomed, but fed dog biscuits as well. Happy dog and owners!

Thank you for your review but I would like to clarify a couple of points.

Firstly, we do not ban dogs from our gardens, but we do ask that owners keep them under control so as not to disturb other guests.

Secondly, when you asked to bring your dog into our Lantern Bar it was full of people eating on every table and that was what we advised you at the time.

I hope this clarifies things for you.

Thank you for your very kind review and we are pleased to see that you enjoyed this beautiful part of rural England.
We are fortunate to be at the center of a very friendly village, but with excellent access to the M50/M50 and with direct train access to London Paddington on the Hereford line.
