Visited for the first time today - ad hoc. Restaurant was busy but they found room for 5 of us. Friendly and prompt service, good food (banoffee waffle to die for) and good price. Manageress and head waitress wonderful. Will visit again.

Every year for the past 6 years we meet up with our friends and have a carvery meal at this pub.
It never fails to satisfy and without fail everyone is well satisfied and full to brimming.
It's slightly moreexpensivethan other eateries, but true value for money

We turned up for a business lunch late on a Friday (about 2pm) and caught the end of the lunchtime trade. My friend had a tasty fish and chips while I made the most of the carvery. Inevitably the beef was a little dry by that end of service, but all the meats were tasty and portions generous. Vegetables was rather overcooked and flavourless, but I can't fault the hot plates, service and sheer belly-busting quantity of food available. Excellent pint of Greene King IPA helped to wash things down too.
