Decided to go out for a family Sunday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being busy the service was good, the time of ordering food to it being brought to the table was quick, the soup starter was nice and hot and very tasty and the calvary nice and fresh (even though it was 5pm) and it was lovely to see an array of different vegetables so something to suit most pallets and not just the usual peas, carrots and cauliflower which you so often see. We didn't have a dessert as we were too full. The tables were nice and clean, atmosphere was good and we would certainly go again. I don't know if it is always that busy but I recommend booking just in case.

We as a group of four or five eat here on average about half a dozen times a year. We travel from Shropshire to meet with family from Suffolk, so we always book in advance and despite a comment I read previously, our bookings have always been problem free. We always enjoy a very nice Sunday lunch - ordering from both the a la carte menu and the carvery. They serve a decent pint there as well. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere and is very clean - it's nicely decorated too. The staff are always both attentive and friendly. It's fair to say that we've been 'using' the Bunbury Arms for around eight or ten years and can honestly say that we've found it a pleasure to dine there.

Went for a family meal but somewhat disappointed although good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings the food was decidedly average the carvery was warm not hot and the meat not very good quality. The food on the menu was better but very small portions and over priced. Not one that I would go to for a return visit.

The Bunbury Arms is just outside Great Barton. It is now run as a Carvery/Pub with a n a la carte menu which although not gourmet is value for money. The drinks are reasonably priced the carvery is very good with fresh vegetable's topped up at regular intervals. Atmosphere good, they can cater for groups in a side room. Altogether a good answer to village pub food and drinks.
Huge car park, very clean and an outside area when weather clement.

We had not been since the refurbishment so thought we'd give it a try. Not disappointed at all. The refurbishment is so much better. The old conservatory, although full of happy memories, was also full of cobwebs and flies and had to go. The new layout has a smaller feel but is much cleaner looking and more professional.
The staff were pleasant and our order was processed correctly and in a timely manner.
The food was beautiful. I had the smothered chicken, which is Hunter's chicken/chicken New Yorker. It was amazing. It was so succulent and moist that you actually didn't need the extra sauce on the side. Nice to have though and definitely not a criticism. Salad was nice and had a variety of things in, instead of just a few leaves.
Would definitely recommend the Bunbury Arms to anyone.
