“For drinks, can't beat The Pub”
Reviewed 1 February 2014 via mobile

Wife and I stopped by before a movie next door and had a great visit. Sat at the bar, which is really cool with the wood and just the size of it is great. Service was quick and nice. Guinness on tap, that's what I'm talkin' bout Jack! Clean restrooms and just a great atmosphere. Finally, a place in Lexington that's not just the normal place. The Pub is my new favorite date night locale!!

“Better than average bar food”
Reviewed 29 January 2014 via mobile

We had a business dinner here. They did a great job handling a large group by keeping drinks full and setting up an appetizer buffet. The process broke down a bit at dinner when food came in waves over 10-20 minutes. Bar food can't wait to be eaten so they had to start (and finish in some cases) while others waited. That was the only hiccup in the service.

The food options were a nice departure from your typical Chili's or the like. With a name like the pub, they offer traditional pub food like Guinness and beef stew, etc. Mist were pleased but the food was a bit salty and the burgers were over dressed with sauce dripping onto the plate.

“British pub, but nicer”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

"The Pub" in Lexington is a great place to grab a pint and some food. Those seeking a traditional pub won't be disappointed or those in need of a chain restuarant near a mall. Sometimes, I go just to try a layered beer from their menu.

“Perfect place for food and friends”
Reviewed 17 January 2014

Whenever I am in Lexington I always meet up with friends at The Pub. There are plenty of choices of beer on tap and great half price appetizers. Sunday's are my favorite day because you can build your own Bloody Mary.

“AMAZING, will be back!”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

My Father and I recently moved to the Lexington area and met for dinner here, the curb appeal is Outstanding. If they can look this good on the outside, we knew we were in for a treat!
As we walked in, you instantly felt like you were back in time in England.
The beautiful wood work around the whole bar, and the staff in kilts was an amazing touch.
It was almost like being in a dinner theatre with the whole appearance.
Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. She was a beautiful blonde, and when we asked for her recommendations she was 'Excellent!'
She recommended the Fish and Chips, which my father ordered, and the buttermilk fried chicken, which I ordered.
The Fish and Chips was awesome, my father couldn't believe how great his homemade coleslaw was. The Fish was nearly a Foot long, and the Chips (Fresh sliced fries) were under the fish.
The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was incredible, 4 Hearty, full Chicken breasts in the best batter I have ever had. So good you don't need sauce, THAT juicy. Then a beautiful chef salad on the dish with all the beautiful colors of a salad and then some! (Red peppers, Yellow peppers, tomato) Topped with a rich raspberry vinaigrette I want to say! Then the amazing Gouda Homemade mac and cheese. Incredible.
The beers were good, a little on the pricey side, but at par with Lexington. (3.29 for a pint of bud light.) However they do have happy hour specials, which Im sure are great! Huges selection of beer, nearly a microbrewery!
The whole experience was incredible, and quite affordable, both meals and 4 beers came out to under 40.00. We will most definitely be returning! I highly recommend!
