Description: In July 2004 Will Pieratt and Kevin Heathcoat took a the huge leap of faith and opened Bourbon n' Toulouse by maxing out seven credit cards and simply hoping things worked out for the best. The business plan was simple: cook some damn good food, give back to the community that help keep their lights on and have as much fun as the law allows! Ten years later these guys are still extremely passionate about what they do and they haven't grown up a bit, just ask their wives! Always cooking and laughing, these guys are serious about having fun. Stop in and sample the wide array of tasty Cajun and Creole dishes, grab a beer from the ever changing selection and drift away to their own little version of The French Quarter. Not bad for a washed up musician and a retired elementary teacher!

If you love New Orleans cooking, THIS is your restaurant. Kevin greets you as you enter and gives you a very informative rundown of the menu and ordering possibilities. After you narrow down your options, he joyfully offers samples until you've made your choie(s). This restaurant offers very generous portions, and an excellent option is splitting two entrees into two half portions!!!!!!! Zestfully tasty, EXACTLY like NOLA food served in a charming ambiance that makes you think you're back on Canal Street! DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to go back.
Good service, large chunks of meat and great flavor!
Convenient to UK, downtown and Graeter's Ice Cream - across the street.
They even changed a flat tire for me when I parked in front of their place.
Wide variety on the menu, too.

Years ago there was a place called Jozo's and the guy that owned that, Joe Vuskovich, had the best and really the only place mattered when it came to Cajun and Creole food in this town. After Jozo's came Yats, which was good, but then Joe headed off to Indy where he continues to have success. So, the Cajun and Creole food was pretty much dormant for many years. Some players, but nothing substantial. About eight years ago I heard about BnT and had to try it. The test?...Red Beans and Rice. It was a stunning moment. The brilliant range of flavors were there...but what I realized? It was even better than Joe's. Next time it was the Gumbo. Awesome. After that, the Southwest Crawfish Etouffee. Oh my lord...one of my absolute favorites. The Red Chili? It's a multi-award winner so grab a plate of that. My new favorite is the Shrimp Etouffee. Bourbon n' Toulouse...get there, get some. You'll be a much happier person and you'll begin to crave it. Promise. And the bread...bread like crack.
