“Great Park for Richmond Rd area of Lexington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This park has it all. There are shelters that must be rented out by contacting parks and rec. They also have a huge wooden playground and beautiful scenery with the lake. There are paddleboats that cost $5.00 and you must have cash. 2-3 people can go on the boats. The lake makes for great nature watching, fishing, and feeding the ducks. Camp Kearney is held at this park contact parks and rec for info about how to enroll your children. There is also a dog park here. This is newly remodeled with two separate areas that are fenced in for you to let your dog roam freely. You must stay with your dog though. Huge fields for flying kites or playing soccer. On Friday nights this park plays a childrens movie on a big screen out in an open field. It is free and totally fun!

“Beautiful Park minutes from Lexington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

I wanted to give an update on Jacobson Park - it continues to get even better.

The dog park area has expanded almost double - two paddocks and tons of room for the four legged friends to run and play. More parking, improved access to the dog park and really nice fencing.

I don't know if the Frisbee golf is new - but looks great. They have also repaved the entire roads throughout the park -

I visit this park quite frequently and it is very clean, mowed and outstanding landscaping and feels very safe.

There is plenty of space, rolling hills (all nicely mowed) that is perfect for picnics, flying kites, playing catch, soccer or football. I cannot believe how close to Lexington and how much this park has to offer - great picnic covered areas and playground.

Don't miss out on this gem in Lexington!

“Wonderful park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2014

Jacobson Park is a huge urban oasis that has many picnic shelters, a fenced in dog park, playground, easy to drive through and large areas of grass to fly kites, read books or just have a picnic. Recently relocated to Lexington and enjoy taking my dog to the dog park or just walking. If you have kids the playground is huge, also many restrooms located in the park. Easy to park and also to feel like you are in a park but only a few miles from Lexington.

“Nice park”

We had our dog with us, so we brought him along for a walk. Enjoyed watching the wild birds, including cranes, flying around the lake. A nice suburban setting for this park.

“Great for families - worth traveling for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 December 2013

This is one of the best parks in Lexington.

The dog areas are nice, well fenced, and apart from the rest of the park.

Families will LOVE the play area. Wow. The out door play area is wonderful with wood fort-like structures with stairs, bridges, slides, swings, and all kinds of other fun. Huge.
