The Lexington Opera House is located downtown Lexington Kentucky. It is an old, beautiful, and ornate building, but renovated. It is smaller compared to other major city theatre. The sound and lighting are good. Both broadway & local plays. Parking readily available. Several great restaurants within walking distance. If I may, I'd suggest DeShae's around the corner.

This historic opera house is situated in the heart of downtown Lexington. Inside renovations have made the seats larger and more comfortable, but there are still some obstructed views, so check the chart. There are balconies in addition to main floor seating. The seats are numbered odd or even, so don't worry that your seat will be away from your companion. Ushers will see you to your seat. There are stairs and elevators for the upper seats. The stage and back stage is small for most traveling Broadway style productions with lots of scenery. Resist the urge to get a box as the view is not very good. Also be careful of seats on the end near the boxes as not all the stage will be visible. The house is beautiful inside but choose your seats carefully. It houses local shows as well as traveling Broadway style shows.
