“Nice historical site!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

This home provides a great stop for lovers of history and things presidential. The home is thoroughly furnished with period items as well as a few actual possessions of the Todd family. The docent presented a very interesting tour of the hope and was very personable. The cost is reasonable and the time well-spent.

“Well worth the time”

We had an outstanding tour guide which made the visit extra interesting. We had to wait for the next tour but there was good conversation during the wait.

“Great for Lincoln history”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

A knowledgeable tour guide takes you through the meticulously restored home, sharing wonderful Todd family history. Not a lot of pieces belonged to the Todd family, but the history lesson is worth hearing. Go ahead and put your hands on the railings, for these are the same railing Abraham Lincoln touched. (If you're into that sort of thing, which we are.) Check the hours on the website so you don't miss this.

“Insights into history”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

My guide was excellent and he debunked several myths about Mary Todd Lincoln.

I didn't know much about her except the negatives and haven't seen the recent movie, so I came in with an open mind.

It's a nice historic family home but the people themselves were as interesting.

“Little Piece of History”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

If you love history you will really enjoy a tour of the Mary Todd Lincoln home. I would suggest that you buy your tickets in advance because sometimes they do sell out.
