What a pleasant experience...and a lovely room! The check in was seamless...I had made reservations online, and they had my room card/key ready when we arrived. Check in was a flash! The hotel is new and the suite is just thar...spacious and spotless, with the amazingly comfortable bed! There is a free continental breakfast and is was great-waffles, eggs, Danish, sausage, as well as healthy fare like kashi cereal, fruit, low fat yogurt. I would definately recommend this hotel!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Fantastic breakfast buffet, free wifi in rooms, nice little kitchenettes area...all was only $99! Took a few minutes to find because it wasn't right off the highway, but that's not a major problem.

My wife and I travel to Lexington every year to watch the Wildcats play and shop for Wildcat memorabilia. We have stayed in numerous hotels and we both thought this was the best. It's not connected to Rupp Arena or within walking distance but the other positives outweighed that semi-negative. The front lobby and breakfast area is really nice. The breakfast choices were plentiful and included fruit, yogurt, eggs, cereal, pastries etc.....If you forgot something or are in need of a snack there is a little cafe/shop that includes everything from pop-tarts to beer. Our room was really nice with a seperate sitting area and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in while staying at a hotel. We both took advantage of the fitness center and the pool and hot-tub were nice and clean. The view from our window was of the racetrack which provided a nice Lexington ambiance.

Very friendly and courteous staff makes for a great stay at Springhill Suites. The front desk could be a *little* more knowledgeable about the immediate surrounding area, but everyone was incredibly nice. The breakfast is basically a full breakfast, with sausage, ham, gluten-free eggs, homemade oatmeal, fruit, breads, waffles... The rooms are fairly typical for a Springhill Suites and clean.

We stayed here during visit to FEI at Kentucky Horse Park. Room was nice and had microwave and small frig which was convenient. TV is in a weird spot and would be hard to watch if you're on one of the beds. One side of the hotel faces Red Mile track so if you like horses ask for a room on that side. Kind of hard to find the first time since the property is not directly on the street. Breakfast was good and had a lot of choices.

Stayed here for one night with a buddy on the way back to Atlanta. Typical SpringHill Suites - clean, quiet, nice rooms, good service.

The room with two beds was big enough for two guys, but for any more I'd recommend getting a second room. Everything was clean and in working order, including the free high speed internet and the flat screen TV. Room also had a mini-fridge and microwave in the wet bar area.

The hotel is located a couple blocks from the downtown area of Lexington. Lexington's downtown seemed to have a good selection of local eating and drinking establishments, and was a fun place to hang out for the evening. It would probably be walkable from the hotel, but it was hot when we were there, so we drove.

Coming from I-75, the hotel was a bit tricky to locate...some of the roads to the hotel from the highway were closed and the detour wasn't clearly marked. Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to stay here and are arriving via I-75 from the north.

Front desk staff were helpful. She answered questions on the local area, as well as the best way to get back to I-75 going south when we checked out. (I've learned that GPS isn't always the most accurate).

Hotel had a free breakfast in the morning, but it was packed when we were leaving, so we just decided to grab something on the road.

I'd stay here again if I'm back in Lexington. Great location near downtown and UK, and much more interesting than the areas next to I-75. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good service...what's not to like?

My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway for a few days. After reading some other ratings on trip advisor decided to stay here. We were not disappointed. It was a little tricky to get back to the hotel, it is very easy to miss the sign by the Marathon Station, but we are glad we did. We arrived in late afternoon and were starving. The staff recommended the Mexican restraurant in front of the hotel. We ate there and had good service and good food.
The room was very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. We had no problems using the free wi-fi. We were there to see Shaker Village, the Mary Lincoln Todd house, Henry Clay estate and the Lexington cemetary. We really enjoyed everything but the Mary Lincoln Todd house. We arrived about a half hour before the tour began. The lady was not very friendly and told us to wait outside on the porch. We asked if we could at least look at some of the displays on the wall while we waited. She said no maybe we should come back another time. I told her we lived in another state, she didn't seem to care so we left. That was a disappointment. They didn't seem busy, only two cars in the lots. One would think they would be happy to have the tourist trade but I guess not. On the other hand we found just the opposited at Henry Clay and Shaker Village. Staff seemed very glad to have the visitors and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome.
