What a pleasurable and satisfying dining experience ! Our server , Josh, contributed to make the evening even better. Exceedingly polite , attentive and knowledgeable young man , with an unending cheerful smile.
Malone's offers a good wine and craft cocktail menu , but is rightfully known for its steaks. Prior to that , there was a loaf of yummy crusty bread with a delicious herb infused butter. We started with drinks and shared the Sweet and Spicy Calamari , served crispy as requested. Delicious !
The twin filets are offered in several different ways . Josh took the time to explain each and every one . The Rockefeller and the Henry Bain were our collective selections As sides , we opted for the sweet potato crunchy pecan casserole, creamed spinach ,broccoli florets and crinkle cut French Fries. Each entree also includes the " bottomless " Lexington Salad , with a delicious home made Herb Ranch dressing ( I'd get it on the side next time though) .
One of my pet peeves is having the main course arriving too quickly NOT an issue here at all. This allows for a relaxed dining , rather then mere " eating " experience. Another annoyance at other restaurants is what I call " Auctioning " of the dishes. Here at Malone's , at least with Josh, the service was impeccable and proper , with the ladies correctly being served first.
Without rushing at all , Josh gently urged us to check our steaks to ensure they were cooked to our liking - they all were and we all were quite impressed with each and every bite of everything we ate.
The Birthday Boy was offered a free dessert which arrived with 4 forks and spoons. Incredibly delicious with 2 different ice creams , crumbled Oreo cookies and more !!! But no way could we finish it ....
Josh was super efficient and nicely wrapped up the couple of uneaten filets AND the rest of the dessert .
The entire evening , from the ambiance , service and delectable food was , in a word - SUPERB !
